This is a standalone story. Curious what happened before? Read "Collar tied (F/M)" first.
I woke up in the morning with muscle pain in my stomach. It had been a long time since I laughed that hard for such a long time. While I was slowly waking up, I recalled the day before. What exactly happened? How did that little sneaky girl trick me, tie me up, and tickle me mercilessly? I smiled, remembering her face above me, clearly enjoying having control over me. And, actually, I enjoyed it too. The feeling of surrendering to her was quite pleasant. I got up and went to school, eager to see her again.
To my disappointment, I didn’t see her all day. During the last break, while I was chatting with my friends, I suddenly felt a very cold touch on the back of my neck. I thought someone was putting ice cubes down my shirt. When I turned around, I saw her. It was her ice-cold hands that made me shiver. I walked with her to her class, and we planned to meet again that weekend. Since we both love being outside, she suggested going for a walk in the forest together.
I arrived early at the parking lot of the forest where we would meet and looked at the route board to pick a trail. All routes were marked with different colors. Just as I was about to choose one, I saw her approaching. She parked her bike near mine and asked if I’d already picked a route. As she stood beside me, she put one arm around me in a kind of hug. I suggested we take the yellow route, and she agreed, so we headed into the forest.
After walking and chatting for about half an hour, she asked if I was familiar with a 'trust walk'. I wasn’t, but I guessed it had something to do with trusting someone to guide you in the right direction. She nodded and asked if I trusted her enough to follow a side path, off the marked route. I knew this forest quite well, so I agreed, confident that I could find our way back if we got lost.
After a few minutes on the unmarked path, she suggested making the walk a bit more interesting and adding an extra layer of trust. She pulled a small chain from her pocket that looked like a dog’s collar. I responded with a playful “woof, woof†and asked if she wanted to make me her dog again. “Actually, this isn’t a dog’s collar", she said. "But it is another chain I found that could be used to restrain you. Do you trust me enough to let me do that?†I hesitated for a moment and asked her to promise she’d release me if I asked. She nodded, so I held my hands together in front of me.
She smiled and wrapped the chain around one of my wrists. It had snap hooks on both ends, which she used to fasten the chain securely. One end was now locked around my wrist. “Let’s take this one level up,†she said, pulling on the chain so my hand followed behind my back. With her other hand, she guided my second hand to my back and secured it as well. My hands were now chained together behind me. I tugged at the chain and tried to reach the hooks, but had no success. I could’ve tried harder, but I accepted that I was now surrendered to her.
She asked how it felt. I told her it was okay. Maybe a bit awkward to have my hands behind my back in the middle of the forest. But since she was with me, it felt acceptable. Even a bit exciting. We walked for a few more minutes until we reached a path with a red route marker. She suggested we follow it now, so we did. As we turned a corner, we saw a couple walking toward us in the distance. Instinctively, I pulled on my hands, but they were still tied. My heart started pounding, and I asked her to quickly release me so the couple wouldn’t notice. She whispered back that it would only draw more attention if she did. It was better to act natural and just walk past them like I was simply holding my hands behind my back. Lots of people do that, only not forced with a chain.
There was no time left to do anything because they were near us now. I shrugged my shoulders a bit so my jacket sleeves sagged slightly, just enough to hide the chain. We kept walking calmly and passed the couple: an older husband and wife, deep in conversation, walking at a brisk pace. They didn’t even glance at us, so they didn’t notice my restrained hands. Still, my heart was racing. I felt vulnerable and exposed, not being able to free myself. Almost like I was doing something illegal.
Once they passed and I calmed down, I asked her to untie me. She said she would if I really wanted her to, but challenged me to continue a bit longer. She pointed to another quiet side path, where the chances of encountering strangers were low. I took a deep breath and accepted the challenge. We headed down the abandoned trail. After a few twists and turns, she said the path was perfect for taking our trust walk to the next level. I looked at her in surprise and asked what she meant.
She’d worn a scarf around her neck all afternoon. I didn’t saw her wear any scarfs before. And while it was a bit chilly outside it wasn’t that cold that a scarf was necessary. But because many people wear scarves, I hadn’t noticed anything unusual about it. Personally I didn’t like scarves at all. At home, we only had thick fleece ones that made me sweat instantly. But hers seemed different. She said the walk would become a real trust walk if I let her guide me while I couldn’t see. I swallowed hard, suddenly feeling a lump in my throat. She slowly removed the scarf from her neck and asked if I was ready. I asked if she had really planned all this, bringing the chain and wearing the scarf just to blindfold me. She smiled and nodded with a little twinkle in her eyes.
I said, “Well, I can’t stop you anyway, with my hands tied.†She stepped closer with the scarf in her hands. It was black, made of a thin material with fringes at both ends. She placed it over my eyes, looped it around my head, and tied it in a firm knot. I was now blindfolded, completely unable to see. To my surprise, it felt amazing. I’d expected it to be warm, but the fabric was cool, soft, and comfortable. And it smelled like her. I just stood there for a minute, enjoying the sensation while also reflecting on the bizarre situation. Being in the middle of the forest, off-track, blindfolded, and with my hands tied behind my back…
“Now, let’s walkâ€, she said, interrupting my thoughts. She chatting on like before during our walk. But because of my disability to see and the feeling of my hand tied I wasn’t that chatty anymore. Focussing full on my other senses cost me enough effort to won’t be able to take part on the conversation anymore. She noticed and said she understands and just talked on to let me know where she was so I could walk beside her. Since she was doing most of the talking, she asked what I wanted her to talk about.
Because the scarf still felt so good against my eyes, I asked her to tell me more about it. She told me it was called a “pashmina shawlâ€, basically a fancy name for a scarf. The fabric was made of a material called ‘viscose’, which, she explained, isn’t a material itself but a process of turning things like wood pulp into fiber. For this scarf, bamboo had been used as the source.
Her monologue about the scarf calmed me down. We had now been walking for several minutes, me completely dependent on her without sight and with my hands tied. She complimented me on being brave and trusting her. Then I suddenly stopped. She asked why. I told her I heard a rustling. "Maybe an animal, we were in a forest", she responded. I took a breath and moved a few steps, then stopped again to listen. With my vision gone and my hands bound, my other senses were heightened. “It’s getting closerâ€, I whispered. “I don’t see anything dangerous, just a quiet forestâ€, she replied.
Then we clearly heard a rustling sound behind us, like a branch being pushed aside and snapping back. We both turned around to look. In my case that was useless because I was still was blindfolded, but is was an automatic response to the sound. Then we heard the sound of a horse trotting by. I pulled on my restraints. Not any successful because the chain was strong and tight enough to keep my hand in position on my back. “Oh, we just passed a hidden bridle pathâ€, she said surprised. “Don’t worry, it went by so fast, he or she wouldn’t be able to see us.†We both sighed in relief.
I asked if she would please untie me now, I was too tense to relax anymore. She agreed. But instead of going behind me, she stepped in front of me. So close I could feel her feet touching mine. Then I felt my shirt lift slightly, followed by her ice-cold hands on my belly. With my heightened senses everything felt so intense. I shivered immediately from her touch. I smelled her scent so close to me. Felt the soft fabric of the blindfold pushing my eyes. The chain around my hand pushing on my skin. “You did well,†she said, and then untied the scarf. I blinked several times to adjust to the light. When I could see again, I found her still standing right in front of me. Looking into my eyes. She put her arms around me and hugged me. Then she released the chain and hugged me again. I hugged her back.
We just stood there for a moment. Then she asked if I knew where we were. I replied, slightly stunned, that I’d been trusting her to guide the way. She admitted she’d been guiding to avoid tripping, not necessarily in the right direction. I took a moment to orient myself. Now that all my senses were back, I realized we were close to the road leading to the parking lot. We pushed through a few bushes and rejoined the main trail. We walked to the parking lot, said goodbye, and left on our own bikes, each heading in our own direction.
