Tied up for a film or play?

Just wondering who here has been tied up or tied up someone for a movie or a play? I've tied up a number of actresses over the past 26 years and, in fact, will be tying up three actresses for a horror film this very weekend. I also got tied up for a film a few years ago.

So anyone else?

In college, I helped my film major friend on her projects a lot.
One time, she needed her actress to be tied to a chair and gagged. I volunteered to take care of that given my knowledge of knots.
The character needed to escape, so my knots weren't gonna keep her tied up for very long but it was still fun to gag her!

Not personally, but second hand. A friend of mine is quite into amateur filmmaking, so he acted in a lot of student films during university. I have noticed that student films seem to heavily lean towards horror and crime, so several of these involved someone being tied up. He got quite annoyed that he kept having to be the victim, guess he looked too inoccent (he was quite cute to be fair). Shame I don't have copies of all of those films...

I tied and gagged people in two musicals: My Favorite Year and The Scarlet Pimpernel.

MFY is played for comedy. An ex-vaudeville star convinces his old partner to do one last song-and-dance routine. She agrees as long as he will allow her to have "one gag." Well, he keeps hogging the limelight, so she summons the ensemble to tie him to a chair and gag him so that she can take center stage. It's a very loose and amateurish tie job, though.

Pimpernel is great, though. During the Rescue Ballet, the French soldiers end up tied up and gagged back-to-back on the stage at the end. And at the end of the show, when the villain is defeated, he's held by the hero's men. The hero says "Tie him up," which we then do on stage, and then he is gagged before being led away. Lots of nice mmppgghhing as he goes, too.

I've been in others where it has happened, but those were the only two scenes I was personally involved in (besides cuffing Chino in West Side Story, but that doesn't count).

So earlier this year I got tied up for a short film I did. The actress taped my wrists behind my back and taped my mouth. Since I was directing I had to be ungagged and regagged by her a few times. The actress was gorgeous, too, so that added to the fun. Just this past weekend, we had shot a couple of promos since the film is being shown at a film festival in NYC next week. For the promo, she tied me up again. This time I was taped hands in front, and gagged. When she taped me back in March, she did only a pass around the wrists. This time she taped me up good, five passes around the wrists. I definitely couldn’t get out this time.

Not me, but something I saw, many decades ago, when I was in third grade.

I'd come across an article in one of my mom's magazines about costumes for a kid's play called "Wiggle Worm." Of particular note was the main character's costume; it was a snug lycra one-piece with a hood which left the face open. Except it had no arms; the girl in the pic had them folded under the costume as you would wearing a straitjacket. So she'd actually be wriggling around. Looking back, yeah, this may have been the first manifestation of my straitjacket fetish.

Fast forward a week or so. We're all going to see a play on the cafeteria stage; it's called "Wiggle Worm." I'm suddenly excited.

Our class was near the front, so I had a good view. And Wiggle Worm comes wriggling out, in a costume almost identical to the one in the magazine. The change? Her feet are bare, the better to push herself across the stage.

Naturally my tiny head was ready to explode. For the next... half-hour? I was absolutely focused on her as she's constantly wriggling from one part of the stage to another; she's the main character so she's always the center of attention. And even when she wasn't, she was still wriggling around. My recollection (admittedly fuzzy) was that she barely stopped moving.

I never had a chance to talk to the girl; she was two grades ahead of me. And I don't know what I'd say if I had the chance. These many years later I sometimes wonder where she is, if she enjoyed her public bondage experience (she certainly seemed to), and if she's still getting tied up.

We did a play in high school called Urinetown and there's a scene where a girl is tied up and gagged. I didn't get to tie her up, but it was still cool to see her like that. You can Google the song Snuff That Girl and find plenty of photos of different girls tied on stage.

In the cub scouts once. I can’t remember what you called the monthly meetings involving the parents - “Den Meeting”, maybe? My group had to perform a skit, and while I don’t remember the specifics, I remember being tied up, gagged and blindfolded, and the other boys would eventually remove each restraint until I was free by the end of the skit. It was a bit embarrassing being bound and gagged in front of family and friends, but also kind of added to the excitement

I've never had the opportunity to be tied up for a play or moving but would definitely be interested in doing so.

Had an example of this I think I posted under “True Stories for Everyone” a while back…

We were filming a short video project in high school; and part of it involved a bunch of guys getting duct taped to desk chairs, and gagged with silver tape.

The idea was that we each got grabbed (in separate scenes); and then stashed in the classroom all together. After the initial prep work getting us all secured (and going through a TON of tape)…all of us ended up struggling and mmphing through the tape gags for pretty much the whole class period.

Pretty sure it ended up becoming a music video (not official or anything; just something dubbed over the project for a grade).

Obviously, I had a blast with it…not that anyone else suspected that some of us might “enjoy” it a bit more than others (I had my suspicions for few present; but nothing more than that).

I saw an interview with Jenifer Atterton who spent a large part of “Alice Creed” tied to a bed and gagged. She said it was great as she could sleep between takes. Interestingly she wanted to keep the tracksuit she’d worn and the ball gag.
