I moved the website to a new host, which I think will be more tolerant of the content this website hosts. Vivian found
“KABOOM.”
The thunderclap was loud, and it followed directly after a lightning flash. If Mark and Kira had not been tightly tied to the lamp posts, they would have jumped. Kelly got woken up by the event. She had been watching the two prisoners from underneath the metallic roof that covered the seating area and hot tub. The sound of the rain and the still warm temperatures had made her fall asleep on the lounge chairs. The loud bang had woken her up quickly.
“Hold on, I am coming.” She called out to the two prisoners who were fighting their ropes.
The door to the house opened and Megan came running out.
“Oh, good. I think it is time to release some people.” She said, seeing that Kelly was already working on the ropes that held Kira prisoner.
“You do Mark, please.” Kelly said, removing the blindfold from Kira.
The weather had quickly deteriorated. It was raining harder, and the sky was dark. All the automatic lights in the house and yard had turned on. The lightning strike had made the lights in the house flicker, but it had not gone out.
“Sure.” Megan answered, starting to untie Mark, also removing the blindfold first.
The rain poured down, everybody got wet while releasing the prisoners. Megan managed to beat Kelly in releasing Mark before Kelly had released Kira. Once both prisoners were free, everybody went inside.
“Go and change. I’ll put a pizza in the oven. Should be ready soon.” Megan stated, playing her role as babysitter.
While the others headed up to change, Megan started the oven and waited for it to heat up.
“I wonder where Vivian is, I have not seen her in a while.” She said to herself.
There was still lightning outside and it still poured down, but it seemed to settle down a bit. Megan counted the time between a flash and the rumble that followed, which showed the storm was moving away. The oven beeped that it was at the right temperature and Megan placed 2 pizzas in the oven. Once done, she headed up to her room herself to get some dry clothes on.
“Vivian?”
After changing, Megan had been looking for Vivian but had not found her. She knew Jennifer was gone, as she had been there when her mother picked her up, so she sorts of expected Vivian to be in her room, or the family room, but there was nobody there.
“Have you guys seen Vivian?” Megan asked when she entered the kitchen.
Mark, Kelly and Kira were sitting around the dining table, all dressed in shorts, t-shirts and sneakers, waiting for the pizzas to get ready. Kira had done her blond hair up in a relaxed ponytail. Neither of them had seen Vivian.
“Last time I saw her was after I got tied to the lamp. She was playing with Jennifer.” Mark said.
“Let’s do a quick search of the house.” Megan said. “The pizzas need another few minutes.”
“I’ll check the basement.” Mark stated.
“I’ll do upstairs.” Kelly said.
“You and I can do this floor.” Megan said to Kira.
They all went in separate directions. After a few minutes they all came back to the kitchen, without Vivian.
“I did find some rope in the garage.” Kira stated, showing the pieces of rope, she had picked up.
“In the garage?” Mark asked. “That was not there when I tied Kelly.”
“Maybe Jennifer tied Vivian before she left?” Megan asked.
“But I did not see anybody in the garage.” Kira added.
“Ping.”
The pizzas were ready.
“Did you check my car?” Megan asked while getting the pizzas out of the oven.
“I did not check your car, I assumed it was locked.”
“No, I leave it unlocked.”
“We’ll have a look.” Kira and Mark said, before heading off to thew garage.
It took them very little time to find Vivian in Megan’s car now that they knew where to look.
“Look who is here.” Kira said as they opened the trunk of the car.
Vivian looked up to Kira and Mark, a look of relief showing on her face.
“Now what are you doing in there?” Mark asked.
“Hmmppfff hmmppff hmpf.” Vivian said.
Both Kira and Mark laughed, as they had no idea what Vivian was saying. Obviously, whatever was stuffed in her mouth was doing thew job.
“Let me get you out.” Mark said.
He worked on the ropes holding Vivian in a hogtie. After that the ropes around her ankles and knees were removed.
“Give me a hand, Kira.” Mark said.
Together they lifted Vivian out of the car, standing her up. Instead of releasing more of the ropes holding Vivian prisoner, Mark closed the car trunk and grabbed Vivian at her bound arms.
“Come on.”
“Hmmppfff?”
“We’re having pizza in the kitchen.” Kira added, holding the door open from the garage to the hallway.
Kelly and Megan were waiting in the kitchen, when Vivian was walked into the kitchen by Mark and Kira.
“Oh, there she is.” Kelly said, grinning as she noticed that Vivian was still partially bound. “Did Jennifer do this?”
Vivian nodded.
“Looks like she did a good job, you are almost as tightly tied as Kira or me.”
The ropes were indeed tight, as Vivian had told Jennifer to do when she was tied up.
“And you even got your elbows close together.” Kira observed. “Welcome to the big league.”
Everybody grinned.
“No more easy treatment for you when you get tied up.” Mark grinned.
“Maybe we should take the gag out, it is hard to eat pizza with a sock in your mouth.” Megan suggested.
The knot was easy enough to undo, and Vivian sighed as the socks were pulled from her mouth.
“Ugh, that was scary. Especially that loud bang a while ago.” Vivian said.
“Yeah, that was indeed loud, however the weather is getting better.”
Looking out the kitchen window, it was clear that most of the bad weather was gone. The sun was still hiding behind dark clouds, but the rain had slowed down to a trickle.
“Is anybody going to release me?”
Vivian looked at the others, but nobody seemed to be interested in releasing her, not even Megan.
“Have some pizza.” Megan said, putting a plate with 2 slices in front of Vivian.
Vivian looked at Megan as if to ask is she did not see that her arms were tied behind her back.
“I’ll feed you, sis.” Kelly said.
“You could just untie me.”
“Now where is the fun in that?” Mark said. “Plus, it won’t be long before some other people will be joining you. We still have time before our parents are coming home.”
“Oh, great, more ropes.” Kira sighed.
“Just the way you like it.” Kelly grinned.
