Website Migration Update

I moved the website to a new host, which I think will be more tolerant of the content this website hosts. Nevertheless, I do want to take a moment to remind everyone that the stories and content posted here MUST follow website rules, as it it not only my policy, but it is the policy of the hosts that permit our website to run on their servers. We WILL continue to enforce the rules, especially critical rules that, if broken, put this sites livelihood in jeapordy.

TAKING A FEW EXTRA SECONDS TO LET AN AUTHOR KNOW YOU ENJOYED HIS OR HER WORK IS THE BEST WAY TO ENSURE THAT MORE SIMILAR STORIES ARE POSTED. KEEPING THE COMMUNITY ALIVE IS A GROUP EFFORT. I have just read chapter 125. Masterful as ever, @slackywacky. Yes, Jack does push Elsa. However, she is unrestrained frequently enough that she could depart if she is unhappy with Jack's actions.

I noticed that files from the old site did not transfer cleanly, making things difficult to read. Is there a plan to address this issue? I would think it would not be too hard with a UNIX program like sed. In the Window$ environment, of course, everything is difficult.

I repeat the question: is there a chance you will remove all that strange marks from the text? With them it's impossible to read your fantastic story...

Regards.

Hello guys. Just wanted to let you know the staff is fully aware of the issue. It has already been discussed at length over the course of the last two months. Manually restoring a story as large as this one is no small task, but I've shared the quickest way of doing so for authors who would rather not wait for the board-wide fix. When you guys spot something bizarre, I recommend checking the Headlines section. Chances are it's already been addressed in a board-wide announcement there. Here are some threads of interest:

I found my way to fix it on another story (also quite long): I copied it to the Word, I figured out that one set of strange marks replaced upper apostrof (') and using the function "find and replace" I fixed at least part of the problem (7500 times ;) )... Part, because there are still other groups of strange marks (much less, though) - now I just need to figure out what other punctuation mark it replaced ;)
