Do you have a LEAST favorite tie-up position?

Post by meacham6 »

I don't mean a tie-up position that's sooo uncomfortable, you hate it sooo much, it's tortuuure, because we all know that means you really like it.

I mean a tie-up position that doesn't get you nearly as excited as other positions do. If there's a story with someone tied like that, you skip through it. If there's a video or image of someone tied like that, you don't watch it. If someone offered to tie you or be tied by you like that, you just might pass (but wouldn't). Is there a tie-up position like that for you, or do you get excited about everything?

For me, I'm not interested in chair ties. It's just not my cup of tea.

Anything that's too loose. For example a chain connecting ankles that still allows some degree of walking. Being tethered to a fixed point by a long chain on a collar but otherwise the person is unbound. I want the bondage to be tight and restrictive, and feeling or seeing a degree of freedom is not a good look!

Oh, and chair ties are the best lol

Every now and then, I'll see a hogtie with a foot or more of rope between the wrists and ankles and wonder what the point of that rope is at all.

I am a fan of totally inescapable bondage, so my least favorite positions are those in which it’s possible to escape. An obvious example of this would be hands tied in front with easy access to locks or knots, or with non-locking cuffs. I also get annoyed at how thin or brittle looking some locking buckles on leather cuffs can be. I’ve really never tried (because I don’t want to actually break any gear), but I’ve always wondered how easy it would be to twist the lock on a locked cuff such that the metal on the cuff breaks. Maybe they’re sturdier than I give them credit for, but that’s another reason I generally like to also be wearing locking leather mitts.

If I’m just relaxing, watching TV, or whatever, and just want to be wearing cuffs or in some type of bondage, that’s one thing. However, If I’m going to an hour or two long session—I want to be able to struggle all I want without any possibility of escape.

While we’re at it…add to that list ineffective gags. I get irrationally annoyed when I’m watching a show and someone’s gagged with just a simple strip of cloth (or worse, just cloth tied over the mouth) and is “Mmmmphing”. I’m like…lady, you can still speak. :D

Yes. I was going to include that as well. Useless having a non-taut rope there!

i like the feeling of tightness and security like a super constricting hug so spread eagle is like the antithesis to all of that

I'm not a great fan of hogties. As @gaggedrock29 wrote, they're hard on your legs. And I think the guy looks like a dead bug. Not a lot of struggling involved.

But a chair tie...Yeah, Baby!

Ya know…there isn’t really a “position” I particularly dislike.

My preferences really just boil down to “soft” bondage over “heavy”…not a fan of anything leather, ballgags, locks, or chains (a pair of handcuffs is about as metal as I’d go).

But positions?

I can dig ‘em all…provided we’re dealing with rope, cloth or tape.

Balltied, hands over head, hogtie, chairtie, back-to-back, taped to a steering wheel, bundled in a trunk, against a post, laying in a bed, cross tied, dangling from ceiling, wrists against ankles…you name it.

Hmm, I would have to go with either balltied or hogtied, unless the person (hopefully me) is also tied tethered to some heavy object or furniture so they can't squirm or roll away, in which case it would then be spread-eagle.

Basically, as @copperfox wrote, I too like my bondage to be totally inescapable, and I am also a fan of tight, constrictive bondage that as @myaltbob2 writes, feels like a constricting hug. I can get that feeling when chair-tied, with overkill on the amount of ropes used to pin me to the chair, but not when spreadeagled or tied in a such a way that I can roll away or squirm away (even if it's really futile) from whatever torturous ministrations my lovely wife would care to inflict upon my bound form. :D
💙 Love to be tied-up, gagged and tickled ! 💙

I’ve never been a big fan of spread eagle bondage. Like I know that from a technical perspective, it’s one of the most difficult to escape from, as all your limbs are pulled apart from each other, and it definitely leaves you open to some fun activities.

But as a fan of overkill or layered bondage, once I’m tied to the bed there’s not much else that can be done to satisfy that craving I have for more. I guess you could tape the hands into mittens, or use bondage mitts, but I prefer positions where more bondage can almost always be added

I don't really like chair ties, for some reason. Maybe they're too comfortable.

Spread eagle is probably the more boring one. You can't wiggle or really struggle and have fun. There isn't much for sensory effects and overall really mid.

That's why I prefer constricting position like being hogtied or straitjackets :P :D

i'm also not keen on chair ties, feel like if i struggled too much the chair might fall over and i get hurt lol.

Also anything where it's possible to escape, or an ineffective gag (e.g. 1 strip of duct tape) doesn't really do it for me. i wanna be completely helpless heheh

Love both spread eagle and hogties :D but never actually been tied spread eagle... yet...

I figure most people like me aren't big fans of hands tied in front. It's not as bad as some people here act as if it's practically offensive to even think about and you may as well not be tied up at all. The person IS still restricted in movement. And, it's certainly better than nothing. But unless the person's arms are also tied down, there is still a fair amount of movement allowed and I generally don't find it fun for long most of the time. Though some challenge videos out there trying it can be interesting.

But probably my least favorite would have to be very tight spreadeagle ties. Loose ones that allow for some movement and struggling don't really count for me. Ones tight enough the person can barely move an inch get boring fast. So even that doesn't entirely count, as there are some spreadeagle ties I like, but I am pickier about them than many other positions,

Probably spread eagle and chair tie. Not that I've ever been tied in those positions but in general, they've never really appealed to me. Also anything involving suspension also what is a definite no-no.

When it comes to watching bondage videos, or stories, I'm generally not that big a fan of spread eagle ties. Like others have said, I think it's the loosest position in that your limbs can flail about the most. I tend to prefer either the limbs be tied together, or tied to a surface like a pole or chair arms etc.

I'm not a big fan of them IRL either however, it's probably one of the most common positions I'm tied up in since we have the equipment for it and it tends to work well with sex and foreplay. I've been tied up spread eagle and had my gf sit on my face before which was great fun.

I like a hogtie in videos but I've found them quite hard to re-create IRL without injuring someone.

I love a chair tie. I've been chair tied many times and it's a good mixture of comfort and security plus you can access all of the fun parts if you tie the legs a certain way.

Mummification.

Haven't done it many times, but somehow occasionally I forget, and wind up in it again, only to realise/remember how I hate it

Not because of tightness, or discomfort. I always feel like it's a long prep/application and once sealed in, to me the payoff just isn't worth it. Once mummified I'm just not having fun.
