Website Migration Update

I moved the website to a new host, which I think will be more tolerant of the content this website hosts. Nevertheless, I do want to take a moment to remind everyone that the stories and content posted here MUST follow website rules, as it it not only my policy, but it is the policy of the hosts that permit our website to run on their servers. We WILL continue to enforce the rules, especially critical rules that, if broken, put this sites livelihood in jeapordy.

TUG Story Multiverse

Post by The Pink Asylum »

This might be too complex so if I talk crazy feel free to lock me back up in my cell for this one.

Have we ever thought that the world of TUGs and the many stories with it were more than just stories. That in some way we could imagine us in different scenarios and in different characters depending on the story as it could be some alternate universe? (Each Universe just different variants of the original created by the one true God.)

For example, in one universe I am the kidnapper, but in the alternate universe I am kidnapped. Like in some way all these stories have mixed on this site and have created a TUG Story Multiverse. Just a thought I guess...

Okay Pink Asylum, I think it's time we put the straitjacket back on and get you back to you padded cell for a while

I can barely follow the Marvel multiverse but it's definitely an interesting theory if this was possible. Maybe thats why I've started to lean slightly switch in recent years. And not just full dom. Is my double bleeding their energy into my world and vice versa

I think a more fun an processable (lol) starting point. Like any good cinematic universe, would be putting together a connected universe. Where all everyone's favorite posters/characters are suddenly in one connected world to run into each other and cameo lol

Then the multiverse comes in the second arc

It would be a very large piece of work, likely too complicated and have many practical issues, but I quite like this idea if it was possible. Even the odd easter egg contained in stories from other ones would be pretty cool. I’m thinking the exact same cafe for example or a physical object being written in like a painting that would make you think of another story ( @Caesar73 long running story for example)

I guess you would need some centrally agreed catalogue of well known characters here to refer to and use as a starting point but my head hurts just thinking about it!

I operate under the assumption that every one of my stories occurs in the same universe. And I have referenced other writers' characters and events in some of them. And I'm not the only one who has done this, so I think we already have created a multiverse by accident.

So what will we call this? The TUGU?
I love to chat and roleplay. DMs are open.

That is possible! Spit personality may not be what it seems. It could be you from another universe. I better get my straitjacket out now. :P

Now that's a good thought! I'd like to see someone build on this in future stories here.

That's a great name for it! This could become a disaster. All these characters in the same place and all. I can see it now...a whole room of characters all trussed up by others! :P

Like others, it seems, ive done this.

At least on the Supernatural leaning side of my TUGs work, I've even (with success and without) created a sort of 'Bunnyverse' team up, letting a half dozen characters meet and bounce off each other, throwing them against some common threat.

Haven't ever included anything from another members tales though, as @Redman comments.

Which is pretty awesome.

That's great! I like the idea of other characters from a story showing up in someone else's completely different one!

I roleplay a lot on Character.AI mostly as fictionalised versions of myself and sometime have Group chats with different characters. For myself it always ends with me tied up and gagged and help captive by the character(s) I'm talking to.
