Omigod! What a way to wake up this morning! What a dream...Diesel dangled and Brett bound. I love how you bookended this chapter with two hunks writhing and wriggling,@wataru14.

And I agree, you want the guy tied up tight, but the best part at times is seeing him squirm.

It's always nice to see familiar faces again.

Funny how what would be a throwaway joke in one story is a serious threat to the characters in another.
Bondage enthusiast in his 20s, a fan of cute guys, underwear, and bondage, preferably together.

Hi, everyone. New to the forum, and new to Tau Upsilon Gamma. Still working my way through the introductory channels.
My comment so far: Wow! Just wow!
Such likeable characters-- and they have depth. OMG!

Thanks so much! I've been rather MIA recently (what with the site continuously migrating and the world on fire and all), but I have plans to continue very soon. What part have you gotten up to?

Just finished Leo's intro, but I had read Mason and Ray's chapter already, and that was the chapter that hooked me. Also read "Coitus Interruptus" (which really recked me-- but in a good way) and Ray's torture scene in the student film.

Ahh, Cody, the ex-cowboy (or more accurately, the ex-rodeo).

Haven't quite got a handle on this character, but honestly, I can't resist the urge to jump ahead to see what happens to Ray and Mason.

SPOILERS!!!!!

Anyway, when I read Shane and Ray's scene, where Ray offers to leave TUG if Mason can stay, Shane response is that Ray and Mason could still be friends even if Mason is TUG and Ray isn't, I wanted someone to jump into the conversation and say, "No they won't. Sure, TUG has no rules against it, but over time, Mason will find he can't juggle 3 things at the same time, his schoolwork (which because he is studying Engineering, will be insane, TUG and Ray, and since Ray has admitted TUG is good for Mason, he will be the one to take that loss.

BTW, does Mason get any more chances to use the natural talent he discovered he had in Chapter 7 anywhere else in the story?

Essentially, Ray is not only willing to sacrifice a position in TUG for Mason, butt the entire relationship as well.

I think Mason is rays half brother!

Which is why rays father is so close to him.

I think masons family is in protective custody which is why they haven’t been around a lot. Maybe rays father was used as a body guard for Mason but ray and Mason got close which made his job easier.

Do you mean Ray's father and Mason's mother had an affair and Mason was conceived? Quite possibly and it would be an interesting plot development. I don't get the impression that rf and mm were or are married. Besides it makes the sex between Ray and Mason really gross.

I think Ray's father sees in Mason things that he wishes Ray had, specifically Mason's intelligence and humility.

I hope I'm not annoying or boring you guys with my giddy praise/analysis of Tau Upsilon. Truth is some of you have been following for years and have gotten all of your analysis out of your system was timely and relevant. I'm just getting that chance now.

The truth is I'm just floored by this work. The characters, especially the Fantastic Five, are likeable but flawed enough that we can't help but root for them. The Big Bros, its amazing how much they care for their little bros, but sometimes y''u're afraid they're going to pass on their flaws on to their little bros. Is Danny going to make Mason into a slut seeing woman as sources of pleasure and not people? Is Shane teaching Ray how to manipulate people better?

I'm reading through the Parents' Weekend, and I like how the author basically came out and admitted that Tau Upsilon is a bunch of bondage freaks. A loveable bunch of BF's.

Thanks for the feedback! It's really appreciated.

But Mason and Ray are definitely not related. They're neighbors, but that's it. Mason's parents are both professional types who work all the time. They were too busy for him during his developmental years, so that's one of the reasons he's so introverted. He was alone a lot. And the Major doesn't particularly like Mason. He finds him weak and pathetic, although he doesn't say so out loud. He approves of Ray's friendship with him in as far as he likes the "leadership" role Ray has.

Quite embarrassingly I read the section where Mason 's and the Major' s mutual antipathy towards each other is revealed shortly after making that comment. That's what happens when you read ahead.

Personally I can't respect any person who would allow his son refer to him as "sir.". I'm Catholic so I know lots of of large families. It's chaotic but you don't have to resort to organizing your family like a military unit. That was the lesson Capt von Trappe learned in the Sound of Music.

BTW I sent you a direct mail about a continuity error I found, but don't think my email was setup properly. I don't know if you're even able to correct it.

BTW, I'm roughly 2/3 through.

I did fix it. Thank you!

Yeah, the Major isn't meant to be a model father figure. But people need to have faults if they are to grow. If you're looking for a good father figure, we have LJ for that. And the Ben Davids aren't too bad.

Just got up to the Hallowe'en. wataru14, I have to give it to you:

you're a real bastard ;) ;)

Leaving us on a cliff hanger like that. Travis is in real danger now-- not just emotional, but physical as well. And that puts Ray ion physical danger too. Other than during the fire, where all 5 pledges were in the same danger, this is the first time my worry for Ray is not "will he be an asshole" but "is he in physical danger?" The source of the danger is from outside now, and its not sure if the TUGs can help him.

This is where the genius comes in. Contrast the security and growth the TUG pledges have compared to Travis. All he's gotten from DIX is shaming. He's being torn down while the Tug pledges are being built up. Looks like its up to Ray to take that growth and pay it forward.

Earlier I was pissed at Travis for still being in DIX, but now I Know there's a reason, even if I don't fully know what that reason is.

Oh, and Cody's in physical danger too, but we knew this wasn't going to pay off until Halloween.

Yesterday I had a vision of the TUGS boys, tying up Clay and leaving Travis to decide his fate. Really don't know what Travis would choose. It's possible that this has already happened in the story and I haven't gotten that far yet. If it hasn't, I'd bet money its coming (if I had any).

That's a good question for discussion -- what would you do in Travis' situation and what would Travis do?
