Duct Tape Gag Advice For Crossdressing

I'm a really big fan of wraparound tape gags especially duct tape, but once I use it my wigs are never the same and become quite raggedy. Is there any way I should be doing to preserve it, whether by using a different kind of tape or care for the wig itself? I could always do the gag first and then the wig but as I've gotten into recording myself I feel it ruins the authenticity

You could try bondage tape instead? Or lift the wig and wrap underneath it?

I’ve never tried it, but feel like @Redman’s suggestion of using bondage tape would work well. There’s lots of different colors and widths to choose from. From the pictures, some bondage tape looks quite a bit like duct tape. Perhaps you could use duct tape across your mouth, then bondage tape for the wraparound.

Yup, I've said this a few times on the site now but half of the strength of a wrap gag comes from the tension, not the actual adhesive. Using something sticky to seal the lips and then using bondape tape for the wrap is a quality substitute without all the hassle of wrapping your head in adhesive lol

Others have already suggested bondage tape so I’ll add in Electrician’s bundling tape. It’s silver and looks similar to duct tape but is stretchier and has similar adhesive to electrical tape. Having less aggressive adhesive might make it easier on your wigs but you’ll get a similar look.

What I usually do is I'll use a roll of the thicker microfoam tape to do the wrap gag then use silver bundling tape for that lovely gray look.

Although it’s kinda expensive, microfoam is good on my hair, still hurts a little when you peel it off, but so much better than just regular duct tape you get everywhere. If you like, I like using bandage wrap/vetwrap cause it sticks to itself and not really sticky to anything else

Thanks a lot to everyone for the advice! A lot of it is aesthetic: I record myself bound these days and I'm trying my best to achieve that Steve Villa - JJ Plush look where my mouth from my jaw to right below my nose is wrapped tightly with tape.
