Thank you for all the nice comments, guys. Your feedback and encouragement are really appreciated. It saddens me to announce that this story is being put on ice for an indefinite period of time.

As explained in the FORUM NEWS: NEW HOST, FORUM LINKS & OTHER BUGS, many posts and stories have been garbled and rendered unreadable during the host transfer, including this one.

Seeing as how this tale was still in its early stages of development and many of my regular readers were in the process of catching up to it, the fact that it is now wholly unreadable and that all apostrophes, quotation marks, etc, have been garbled into chains of weird letters and symbols, makes it senseless for me to continue while half the readers are stuck midway and with no possibility of catching up. I will only be able to resume work on Jake's narrative if a fix that restores the original text is found.

If circumstances change and a fix restoring the original text is found, I'll be letting you guys know.

I have good news, guys. I know many of you didn't get the chance to read the most recent chapters (Chapters 19 & 20) due to their being published mere hours before the forum crash, so I'm happy to let you know that the two most recent chapters are now fully restored! Thanks to @Subboi's suggestion and @socjuc's help and coaxing, I was able to use an AI tool to unscramble the incorrect encoding errors and restore them back to their original state.

I will be restoring everything from Chapter 1-18 over the course of the next few days and will be letting you guys know once the restoration is complete. In the meantime, be sure to enjoy the most recent chapters if you've not already done so. Chapters 19 & 20 are located on the previous page.

I won't lie, I was admittedly a little discouraged (writing-wise) to see this project get badly messed up due to encoding bugs. I'm leaving to visit family and relatives for a few days this week, but I look forward to continuing Jake's adventure when I get back. Thanks for all the encouragement and steadfast support, guys. Really appreciate it.

Thanks for your comments on the latest chapter, guys. I really appreciate the feedback and the time you take to let me know you're still reading. Activity-wise, aside from the M/M side (which seems to be completely dead), the rest of the board is back to normal. Let's hope the other readers decide to catch up over the next few days. Would be a real shame to see the M/M side of the forum just completely collapse and die off. Now for a few takeaways from the comments:

Either he is really distracted by the dog, or it's some kind of trick, but not particularly safe or responsible in either case. Fortunately Jake is fictional and I can enjoy his predicament anyway

Fun gag, but hell of a choice for someone tied up alone while your out for two hours.

I had the same thought. In normal circumstances, leaving a first time sub alone like that with that kind of gag would be not good. However this is fictional and hot as hell! I am wondering if it is a kind of trick but I seriously doubt that.

That bulb gag is a doozy though.

Either you guys are right, or Jake is being a bit of a princess and you're all buying into his act and being a bit misled by his perhaps overly-dramatic narration Either way, I'm glad the hefty pecker gag caught you guys of guard. I'm sure it caught Jake off guard too! On that note, I quite enjoyed the witty repartee between @Wedgieboy69 and @WhereAmI. Made me smile.

4 weeks later Jake still hasn't escaped, he either isn't trying very hard or Erich super glued the ropes on. I sure hope someone has been feeding Jake and letting him relieve himself , not by orgasm, every day or 2, and letting him stretch occasionally during these 4 weeks off. @bondagefreak

Oh boy, the gag looks absolutely amazing.... Being tied up and locked alone probably wasn't exactly the thing that our protagonist was dreaming about when he decided to visit Erick's place, especially with that huge gag in his mouth... Even better!

I'm so glad I stumbled my way back to this site, it's been a while since I've been on, but this story was so worth reading. I really liked the slow buildup, I think it's actually very important for relationships like this, and the 18th chapter, I mean, damn.

I can't lie, initially, the age gap was something I was on the edge at too, but seeing how much confidence Eric has, and how it kinda allows treating Jake like he's a kid in some ways is actually pretty funny, and quite arousing. It's clear that Eric has a lot of experience in how to handle subs, and that's a really cool dynamic to see.

The ropework and the idea of a crotch harness tightening with pretty much any moves sounds so hot, is that actually a thing that you can tie with rope? Boy would I like to try that.

I guess it's most of us here, but I feel so much like Jake, can't lie, I'd swap places with him in a heartbeat. Really great story, can't wait for the next chapter.

The only thing that I'm slightly struggling with, like with most of your stories, is the enormous size of Eric, I like strong guys, but not necessarily overwhelmingly huge ones, but given the incredibly well written plot, it's a very minor detail and I it's not like I mind it too much.

Also, the gag choice in the last chapter was definitely a surprise, like others already mentioned too. Being bound for so long, especially first time, I guess it makes sense that he might end up actually feeling like screaming for help, and obviously Eric can't have that, but still, bold choice. Jake was probably just being a bit overdramatic about it, but with the rush Eric seemed to be in, only giving him like 15 seconds of attention to see if he was fine, he also might not be, guess we'll see. I really wonder if Jake ends up struggling to even breath the whole time until Eric returns, or if he was just overreacting. Either way, I'm sure the ropes will give him an ... interesting time there.

I wonder how long Eric will take, though I really hope the dog will be fine. Don't think I could forgive you if you end up writing him off.

Also, I'm so glad that you managed to fix the stories, I've been reading this up for the past 3 days, and while I did notice the weird apostrophes and other symbols around the forum, at least I understand why that is now. I'm so glad that the site is still up, and that you didn't end up giving up on the story or not re-publishing/fixing it. I can't wait to read the next chapter, so far, the story was really great. But at least while waiting, I might get some time re-checking your other stories, it's been way too long since I last did.

I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying the ride so far and that, much like Jake, Erick's age initially proved an issue. As for your misgivings about his size, that's also a fear our narrator shares. Looks like you and Jake have quite a bit in common!

That definitely sounds interesting, and I did actually notice them, but they seem to require me to be familiar with quite a few of your older stories, which, while I did read some of them in the past, definitely not all, and I also have no idea where I stopped on basically any of them. So, since I don't remember them that much anymore (like I said, it's been quite a while), I think I'll first try and read through those again. Not sure how quickly I'll be able to catch up there though, the threads on some of those are massive, lol.

Hopefully it's nothing to serious with Rufus.

I love the idea of keeping Jake quite while Eric runs out. Actually pretty funny on the choice of gag to. But the one thing that bugs me, like some of the others, is Eric not only leaving Jake there all along while throughly bound but also the fact he gagged him with a gag that is entirely blocking his mouth, leaving just his nose for air. I know in a story, it's funny and as some would say hot. But my ADHD brain loves to focus on reality and the what if's of leaving someone tied and gaged alone. I also can't help to think how experienced Eric is and yet would overlook the safety aspect. I had half thought maybe Eric is just playing a mind trick on Jake but then I thought that be pretty low to use his dog as the excuse, when we know that is a legit concern with Rufus.

Wonder if Jake will now give it his best go to try and free himself, even if it's pretty fruitless. Could be a boring hour, 2 or more if Eric gets hung up at the vet. Also wonder if he'll have any friends stop by while he's tending to Rufus

I've finally caught up on this story and I can't wait to see what happens next. I voted in the poll. I decided to go with undecided leaning yes, because all big lifestyle changes need time to think about to see if I'd wanna pursue that in Jake's position. Although if I were him, I'd have no problem just being Erick's and leaving other apps and such behind, and my weight is around 185 pounds compared to Jake's 130 I think, so I'm a bit less fragile than him aha

I know I've been saying for weeks that we're quickly wrapping up THE TWINK & THE JOCK (M+/M), but even though I've been taking extra time fully fleshing out the story's closing scenes, we are very much approaching the finale. I look forward to getting back to Jake & Erick as soon as the above-mentioned tale is complete. It should be very soon, so stay tuned.

Thanks for that. I know lots of younger men and women actively seek out men older and more mature than themselves, but the 24 vs 39 age issue would still be substantial enough IRL to give most readers (and our narrator) pause. Jake manages to brush it aside for now because he doesn't know where the relationship will lead, but depending on how far it goes, he might have to face up to it and give it serious thought. He knows that, and it gnaws at him. I think, for now, it goes without saying that he finds Erick irresistible. Physical attraction certainly helps, but it won't necessarily negate the serious reflection warranted by the age gap.
