Not sure if its any consolation, but as someone who got "exposed" in the past I can say that most people don't seem to care much. If anything, I noticed that people were more curious than being weirded out as they kept asking questions about it with some of them even expressing their interest in giving it a try.

But needless to say, I'm sorry to hear that it ended like this.
