Voted for Batman, Robin and Batgirl, with an honourable mention to Teri Hatcher's Lois Lane.

Fascinating... I also voted Batman/Robin/Batgirl, and the poll from my end clearly shows that I did vote that (it is highlighted bold), but I see only 1 vote for it at the moment (presumably mine I guess?) despite others having voted for it.

Perhaps it takes time to tally the votes and is not instantaneous; didn't realize that about php board polls.

Unfortunately the poll limits the number of options you can add but I agree that Diana Rigg along with Linda Thorson and Honor Blackman probably influenced many youngsters with respect to bondage, myself included.

Only saw Honor Blackman in GoldFinger.
Honor Blackman played Cathy Gale, John Steed's first regular female partner and was tied and gagged several times.

None of these. Mainly just random male characters being tied up by male villains.

A great example. Loved seeing them getting tied up.

Donald Duck and his family. See e.g. here:
https://archive.org/details/ltb037-3fa6 ... 7/mode/1up

ETA: This scene is especially intriguing because Scrooge says: "I would pay five dollars to get us out of here", and the children say: "No, we'd rather stay here. At home we just have to go to school. It's nice here! We get food for free..."

The idea that they'd rather stay tied up for a couple of days than go to school is really intriguing. Well, they decide against it, because the food is only bread and mackerels. Which means, they enjoy a tie-up adventure as long as the catering is good!

Penny and Aladin were likely the big influences of their respective generations. They're almost always among the most common answer given as to what was people's first bondage trigger. For the generation after that it be Totally Spies. though in that case not bondage per se but just any fetish out there.

I actually don't think Peach would fit. She might spend half of every week getting kidnapped, but she's actually not tied up all that often. Usually she's just in a cage or not even that.

Definitely Tintin for me (almost every adventure features bondage and gags).
Astérix & Obélix also comes to mind. Also enjoyed the Hardy Boys.

Daphene Blake was certainly the catalyst for me being into bondage, but April O'Neil and Lois Lane contributed as well.
Just your average crossdressing damsel in distress...

Totally spies. They get tied up all the time and in some very unique ways. Certainly helped awaken my interests of being tied up

I voted for Daphne Blake, like many others I suspect I only watched Scooby Doo to see if Daphne was captured, and tied up by the bad guys.
Who would have thought that a simple cartoon character, would have so much influence over so many people, me included. :)

My TV viewing over the years, has always been guided by my interest in damsels/ bondage, etc. :)

The Hardy Boys

I was obsessed with the book cover for “While the Clock Ticked”

Still my absolute favorite :D

Runners-Up are definitely Penny Gadget and April O’Neil

:D
You had me at “Don’t make me gag you!” :P

There are 6 votes now for Batman, Robin, and Batgirl after I voted for them. I wonder who the other 3 are besides @Reidy and @tiedinbluetights?

Wonder Woman is right behind the Terrific Trio for me
