Growing up, my house was a popular place to hang out. Mine and my siblings friends came over often for various activities. Typically only one of us would have a group over at a time, but on this occasion, I had three of my good friends over to play on the same day that my older brother Henry was having a LAN party. Don't know if that's a thing people do anymore, but essentially it's where a group of people got together in the same room to play a video game together.
While Henry and his friends were set up downstairs, I was up in my room with my best friend Jake, and two of our mutual friends, Mike and Charlie. We were all 13. After an hour or so of playing board games, we grew bored and just sat there quietly for awhile. Then Charlie broke the silence.
"So Jake was telling me about how you all got tied up the other day," he said.
I immediately shot Jake a look. His face flushed, as did mine. A glance at mine revealed that he was squirming uncomfortably. A few weeks earlier, Jake, Mike, myself, and a friend named Tim had played a game where we pretended to get captured by my younger sister Ashley, who tied us up and held us prisoner. Jake and Mike and I had all enjoyed it greatly, but it wasn't something we would readily share. At least, I hadn't thought so until now. It was clear from the look on Jake's face that he hadn't wanted Charlie to reveal that he had told him.
I tried to stay nonchalant. "Yeah, it was for a game."
"That's so cool!" exclaimed Charlie.
I looked up in surprise. "Cool?" I asked.
"Yeah!" he said. "I was in my school's play of Peter Pan awhile back, and I was a lost boy, so I got to be bound and gagged. It was the coolest thing ever! I've wanted to try again ever since, but never got the chance."
Mike perked up. "Isn't it fun?"
"It's the best," chimed in Jake.
"I love it too," I added on.
The ice having been broken, the four of us discussed experiences that we had either had or wanted to have. After several minutes, I pulled Jake aside.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked him in a hushed tone.
Jake smiled. "Let's get the rope!"
We headed to my dad's workshop and fetched a bunch of rope as well as some cloth. My dad was aware that we used these for tie-up games, and he was fine with us doing so, as long as we returned them when we were done.
We then returned to my room with the materials hidden behind our backs. We signaled to Mike to keep Charlie distracted. Instead, Mike frowned at us and asked "what's going on?"
Charlie turned around. Jake and I looked at each other. "Now!" shouted Jake.
We flung ourselves upon Charlie, wrestling him to the ground. He cried out and struggled against us and Mike jumped into the fray to defend him. They fought furiously and we were in a stalemate.
"Why did you attack me?" asked Charlie as we faced each other, panting from the exertion.
Honestly seemed to be the best policy. "We wanted to tie you up," I explained. Jake and I showed off the rope.
"Oh, why didn't you say?" exclaimed Charlie. He immediately turned around and put his hands behind his back. Mike did the same without a word. Jake and I looked at each other, smiled, and then bound our friends. We tied their wrists crossed with rope looping throughout and then tied off to secure them. We also tied their ankles, further limiting their mobility. Finally, we pulled out the cloths.
"Open wide!" commanded Jake. Our prisoners eagerly opened their mouths and accepted the gags. We secured them, muffled their ability to speak. Charlie tested it out, mmmphing playfully and then laughing under the gag. Mike joined in. Jake and I had to chuckle as well. Our captives were enjoying themselves even more than we were.
There was still some rope left. "Can I join them?" I asked Jake.
He shrugged "sure why not?"
"Awesome!" I declared. "I get to be a prisoner too."
My whole body shivered with involuntary delight as I was bound hand and foot by my best friend. He then placed a gag in my mouth and I gave a small moan as I felt it go in. Of all my male friends, Jake was the best at tying knots, and I loved being tied up by him.
Once I was bound, Jake used a final length of rope to tie the three of us in a line. He then started to tug on it, forcing us all to follow him. Since our feet were bound, this forced us to hop behind him. We laughed under the gags and let him continue to pull us. Then suddenly Mike lost his balance and fell, pulling Charlie and I down with him.
"Are you alright?" asked Jake. We three captives lay on the ground, bound and gagged, laughing as hard as we could. Seeing that we were unharmed, Jake breathed a sigh of relief. Then we heard footsteps approach the door and a little bit of panic set in. My whole family knew about our TUGs, but there were other guests in the house, and it would be embarrassing to be discovered like this.
Jake quickly moved to unbind us, but only got so far as to remove the gag from my mouth before the door opened and in walked Henry, my older brother, and Jimmy, one of his friends. They were both 15 and they looked down on us as we looked up sheepishly. Henry gave a knowing smile.
"Ah, so it's this again."
"Yep," I said. "We're all prisoners."
Henry gave a laugh. To my relief, Jimmy seemed to be taking the whole thing in stride. He walked around behind us and checked the ropes on our wrists. He gave a smirk when he saw them.
"Not bad," Jimmy said. "But if you want to really be tied up, come downstairs and we'll show you how it's done."
And with that, Henry and Jimmy left us, laughing as they went. I looked over at Charlie, who smiled through his gag. "Having fun?" I asked, and he nodded. I then turned to Jake.
"Do you think he was serious about that?" I wondered aloud.
"Only one way to find out," pointed out Jake.

Amazing start and definitely plan to keep reading. I'm so jealous, being the same age as you but not getting experiences like this at the same time growing up! I'll live it through you story though.

I still don't fully understand how it all worked (technology is beyond my comprehension). They did let me play with them on occasion when they had an extra computer available. It was always military games, and I was very bad at them, but as the younger brother, I just loved being included.

Well this is about to get really good! Part II please
After he left, the curiosity from Henry's offer lingered in my mind. Jake, Mike, Charlie, and I had been discussing it whenever we got together, speculating on what "really being tied up" might involve. Quickly, we decided to take Henry up on his challenge, so, we headed downstairs to where Henry and his friends were set up for their LAN party.
Henry was there with Jimmy and a few other friends. They were in the middle of a game but paused when we approached. Henry glanced up and smirked.
"Here to take us up on that offer?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," I replied, trying to sound confident.
Henry exchanged a look with Jimmy, who nodded. "Alright," Henry said, "but remember, you asked for this."
Jimmy stood up and motioned for us to follow him to the basement. My friends and I followed, curiousity piqued. We were led to a corner where there was an assortment of ropes, duct tape, and other materials spread out on a table. It was clear they had planned for this.
"Okay," Henry began, "we're going to tie you up properly, like we promised. Them you have to escape if you can. Deal?"
We all nodded, excitement bubbling up.
He started with Jake. Jimmy and Henry worked together, using more rope than we had ever used. They bound his wrists behind his back, wrapped rope around his chest and arms, pinning them to his sides, and then secured his legs at the ankles and knees. To top it off, they used duct tape to gag him. Jake gave a muffled sound of approval.
Henry took charge of Mike, while Jimmy handled Charlie, tying them up in a similar fashion. Mike looked impressed, even through the gag, while Jake mmmph-ed, testing his bonds and giving a thumbs-up.
Finally, it was my turn. Henry took his time, making sure every knot was tight and secure. He even added an extra layer of rope around my upper arms, making it nearly impossible to move them. When they were done, I was impressed by the thoroughness of their work.
We were all laid out on the floor, bound and gagged, and Henry stood over us with a grin. "Now, try to get out."
We began to squirm and struggle, but it was clear that escaping these ties was much more challenging than our usual games. The knots were tight, the rope was snug, and the duct tape gag held firm. We wriggled and strained, but after a good while, it was obvious we were stuck. I looked at my captive friends and smiled, thrilled by the experience.
Henry laughed. "Not bad, but it looks like you'll need some help."
With that, Henry and Jimmy began to untie us. When we were finally free, we couldn't stop talking about the experience. "That was awesome!" Charlie exclaimed, rubbing his wrists.
"Yeah," Mike agreed, "we've got to try this on our own next time."
Jake nodded, already thinking ahead. "We've learned from the best."
Henry and Jimmy chuckled. "Anytime you want another lesson, just let us know," Henry said, giving me a friendly pat on the back. I couldn't wait to take him up on that.

Another really fun read! Seems like you had some fantastic friends as a kid. I had very close friends, but never would have even thought to share my love of being tied up with them. Also, sounds like you’ve got great siblings, too! The love that exists within your family shines through when you write about Henry and Ashley. I certainly hope you’re still close as ever.
Question for you…was Henry into TUGs at all, or did he just engage in them because he knew how much it you enjoyed them? If I recall from a previous story, he didn’t seem to have a driving interesting it them. Just wanted to ask because of his eagerness to tie you and your friends up again. What a great brother to have…I think it makes it all the more special if he was doing it to just to spend quality time with you. I really like to see this kind of dynamic in family TUG stories.

@Jeff K Another brilliantly told tale! Thoroughly enjoyed it. As far as writing styles go, yours strikes a nice balance between straightforward and heavily detailed. All in all, this hits just right.
The first part was fun, but the cherry on the cake was definitely your older brother and his friends tempting you guys with that irresistible offer. Super glad you all got to have that thrilling experience. It sounds like they roped you up good! And the duct tape gag was a blissful addition. Nothing beats a good stuff gag with some duct tape to keep it nicely packed in. I bet you and your buddies had a lot of fun trying to speak through those gags, and I bet your older brother and his friend also got a thrill out of hearing that.
