How did you start the bondage interest?

I always used to think about it when i was a kid and watching it on TV, but I always thought it such a Taboo subject in the 80,s. So never really happened for me until I started work. Then one day on my birthday at work i got completely wrapped up in Plastic wrap by a couple of workmates ( Females of course lol ). That pretty much fuelled my fantasies and the journeys began
My intrest in bondage started from as long as i remember
Even when i was just a toddler in 1st or 2nd grade i would get particularly interested in scenes from movie tv shows cartoons where someone ( especially girls) would get tied up and gagged
I never knew why it happened
Later when i came in like 5th grade i would take my parents phone and "explore" by searching single words on google like duct tape, gag etc at that time i used to play cops and robbers a lot so i could tie up my friends sister
I could never talk abt it to anyone bcoz im sure most of them will think im crazy wierdo cause bondage , sex , dating is a taboo in India sadly
Finally i learnt from google that my interest is call bondage and leaned a lot about it and discovered a website called boundhub and later tugstories
Recently i have started to practice my rope skills on myself and a makeshift dummy i made with pillows when parents are out

I remember seeing a woman tied to a bed and gagged in some movie on tv when I was quite young. She was fully clothed but it excited me very much. When I was older, maybe 11 or 12, I found a bunch of old belts in a box of clothes in the attic and had them hidden in my closet along with some bandanas for gags and when no one else was home I'd strip down to my underwear and do self bondage. Also around this time I'd take pictures of women in their underwear out of mail order catalogs and I'd draw gags, blindfolds, and restraints on them. This was in the mid 90s before people had the internet at home, and what internet existed wasn't very developed. Later, probably around 2000 or so when I was a teen, I discovered bondage erotica online. I say erotica because everything I saw at that time was women (never men) tied up and gagged in their underwear. I remember seeing a ball gag for the first time and thinking how great it looked. Most people where we lived still didn't have internet at home so I would sneak a look at some sites at school or the public library. I actually got caught by an older librarian and remember how shocked and disgusted she was to see me looking at a photo of a bound and ball gagged woman. It seemed like such a taboo thing back then. I also remember ordering a copy of Venus in Furs when I was a teen (back then you had to order a book through a bookstore or library if they didn't have it, no online shopping!) the same situation, a look of scorn from a crabby old librarian as I paid for it. Remembering all that makes me so glad I don't have to deal with librarians to get my bondage erotica anymore!
I remember seeing cartoons and other kids TV programmes that had some form of tie up in them and always thinking, what would it be like to try and escape from them? Could I do a better job on the restraints than the villain? That was probably the spark.
I also remember a couple of classmates taping their mouths during a project in school (making bridge type things from paper and tape), and being really put off at the time thinking we would get a massive telling off, then afterwards being wowed by the thought of it all. From there it slowly grew as that sort of thing happened from time to time, when I was a teen I was always coming up with ways of how I could tie up friends etc (but never got to try any

Probably trying to sleep.

There was a lot more random bondage imagery when I was a kid in the early '70s, much of it misogynistic. Heroines were always getting tied & gagged in movies and television; and then there were comics, with Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Zatanna, et. al getting tied & gagged on a monthly basis.
Then there was the random tying of girls I encountered right in my front yard, with the girl next door I had a crush on. I suppose my interest was cemented right then and there.

I think one of the things that got me into tie ups was watching totally spies. They always seemed to get into some kind of tie up situation.

Big brother tied me to a swing . My neighbour let me out
For me, like many others, my love of being tied up didn’t come from any specific thing or particular event…but rather, it’s just something that has always been a core part of who I am. I just knew I felt kinda weird growing up when I saw people get tied up in cartoons and other TV shows.
I don’t see it mentioned a lot, but Disney’s Robin Hood was by far my favorite childhood movie, for very obvious reasons. In fact, the more I’ve thought about it…I can’t imagine that the writers didn’t have at least some kind of bondage background. The (many) scenes where characters are tied or chained up often has them in very interesting and different positions. I remember being 5-6 years old and thinking how awesome those ropes and chains must feel.
I think I actually started tying myself up much earlier than that, at around four years old. Some of my first memories from that age were when I would tie myself up with cloth belts or other such things. In fact, in one instance, I remember of one of my parents asking, “Why are you tying yourself up? Did you do something bad?â€
My parents knew that being tied up was a major fun activity for me growing up. In fact, it’s come up in family conversation several times over the years how at every toy store (or any store that that had a toy section, for that matter), I always had to have (yet another) set of play handcuffs. They never made a big deal out of it, though. As I got older, I tried hiding my pastime and associated gear as much as possible (there’s no way my teen/pre-teen self wanted to try to explain why I had backpack full of ropes and belts that had previously gone missing from around the house). However, I’ve never really asked them if they ever found any of it or knew just often I tied myself up…which got to be on about a nightly basis.

Like many have already said, Disney movies, specifically Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty, definitely did something for me. I remember always rewinding the scenes when Aladdin and Prince Phillip get tied up and gagged over and over on my VHS whenever I was alone. After that I started to notice more bondage elements in various media. In 3rd grade, there was a novel with an illustration of a man chair tied and bandanna gagged, which I would always pick up for that page. Some other movies with bondage scenes that stuck with me were Batman Forever, Small Soldiers, Scream, and lots of tv and cartoon shows.
From there I started to search up stuff like "tied up" or "guy gagged" and came across a lot of early bondage websites. Boundguys and Sockgagged were some of my faves and it completely opened me up to bondage.

Superheroes and heroines have always been the ones best suited to bondage.BoundSuperhero17 wrote: 11 months agoSame here! Hence the username lolReidy wrote: 1 year ago Reruns of classic 60s Batman. The first time I made a connection between bondage and sexual excitement was when I was 12 years watching an old horror movie called "New Years Evil". The lead actress was handcuffed to the bottom of an elevator at the climax of the movie I recognized that that act resulted in a physical reaction.
However, once I began to comprehend that, I began to realize that prior to that moment I had been mentally cataloguing scenes from shows and movies I had seen previously going back all the way to the time I was five years old without really even knowing I had been doing it. Consequently, in a very short period of time I had amassed a large collection of books, comics and video clips.

I think this is a common phenomena among kids/young adults. They are so often warned about dangers by adults (including kidnapping) that they become fascinated by the thought of it and are drawn to seeing fictional characters in dangerous situations such as being kidnapped or tied up.Reidy wrote: 1 year ago Reruns of classic 60s Batman. As I've mentioned in similar threads, for me it appears to have always been part of who I am, and my earliest memories, all the way back to when I was 4 or 5 years old, involved asking relatives to tie me up, memories that have been confirmed by said relatives in later years (my very first story on this site was about those memories).
I do also recall watching 1970s re-runs of Adam West's Batman, but whether that show initiated my interest or my interest made that show stand out more, is hard to say.

Im from a rather average white american family, but I would sometimes turn down the volume on the tv as a kid and put it on one of the spanish channels (univision maybe?) because I one time while changing channels saw a DiD scene in one of the telanovelasgaggedgent wrote: 11 months agoHaha I definitely remember catching a lot of glimpses of bondage scenes from the shows and soap operas my parents used to watch.shyguy92 wrote: 11 months ago Not Sleeping Beauty for me, but Aladdin was definitely part of it.

Batgirl chained in Lord Fogg's dungeon, tied on Catwoman's pattern cutter, Batman and Robin tied under giant magnifying glasses and whilst not bondage, the Siamese Human Knot.BoundSuperhero17 wrote: 11 months agoAny favorites?

The pattern cutter is such a classic one! One of my favorites too!
This show made me want to be someone’s Robin one day. I love the one where he’s tied up and catches the Batarang with his mouth so Batman can pull him up. Such great show. Those writers definitely loved bondage

Yeah, for the same reason Robin appealed to me. Seemed like he was more likely to be tied up and left in peril.
