Six of one, a half dozen of the other. When I was young, I always liked tying up my friends, but I liked getting tied up. then escaping.

Tough choice to start with. But i go for A, be bound and gagged.

I'd go with rope, as it was what captives got tied with on TV. Alternatives would be rawhide (Indians would tie their captives with it) and bandages - torn sheets - as Rusty got tied and gagged with them, and a kid was 'kidnapped' and tied with them.
