This is great; I'm glad that I caught up on it. Sometimes a simple premise done well is all you need and that's exactly what this is - I really like Nick and Brooke's dynamic, but most of all, I like that they feel like real people. Looking forward to seeing more of them hopefully!

Not sure how useful this advice might be for you since you specifically mentioned the cleave-style thing, but a technique I use for ones where the lips are closed is to use a few strips of adhesive tape over the mouth (microfoam is the one I usually use since it's comfy) to actually seal it shut ...

I can feel your frustration coming through in your writing here. Normally I'm not a big fan of these types of stories involving characters who are fairly irredeemable like Robbie, but this is very entertaining so far! Plus, it's always nice to see people's first stories here, so keep it up!
