Homemade hoods?

Hoods are a fun way to keep a captive guessing where they are and what is about to happen next. Sometimes we don't have access to a professional hood, and have to make do with what we have around home.
With that being said, what is your favorite kind of homemade hood? What is the most effective, visually pleasing and feels good?

One that I always really liked was used by my ex-girlfriend on me when she’d indulge me in some bondage time. I’ve always had a fetish for winter gear, and she had this amazing winter jacket, called the Summit Parka from the brand Aritzia. It came with this deep faux fur lined hood, as well as fur trim and some additional faux fur lining in the chest area of the parka.
Anyway, sometimes she’d put it on me backwards before tying me to a chair, I liked to imagine I was her kidnapping victim. The hood would be down in front of me, always waiting to swallow up my whole head as if it were a hungry animal. She’d gag me with her socks, do some verbal and other teasing for a bit, before she’d decide to leave me tied and frustrated to struggle for a bit, but not before pulling that massive, soft hood up over my face and zipping up the jacket nice and snug.
The softness of the hood and the lingering smell of her perfume and hair product always made it feel like more of a reward than the punishment that a hood like that usually offers, although the thickness of the faux fur hood lining did mean it became rather difficult to breath at times, but that just meant focussing more on taking deep breaths and I’ve always been a fan of breathplay anyway. So it’s one of my fondest bondage memories

Something that did/does the trick for me: A simple wool hat with a brim that can be pulled down to cover the entire face. Preferably made of thick wool.
This or a wool balaclava (hood) worn backwards

A pillowcase could work for something simple.

I haven't ever actually used a pillowcase for a hood, so I don't know. I don't sleep on anything silky to even try it out, though.

I have a beanie I bought off etsy that is GARGANTUAN and super thick knit. If you pulled it down it would fit over someones head and still have access around the neck. And its like an inch thick. Its my absolute favorite
