One of my readers requested an elaboration from Part 2 of "Father-Son Swap." viewtopic.php?t=24000
So here it is!

Joey arrived at his best friend Ryan's house and ran inside. He greeted Mr. Horton and high-fived Ryan. Their dads shared a greeting while the boys ran upstairs. In Ryan's room, the boys kicked off their shoes and sat down to play videogames until it got late. But soon, their conversation drifted to their "Super-Special-Secret" game. They called it... "Kidnapping."
The boys had been playing this game ever since they were 7, and had watched a movie where a snooping boy was kidnapped by bad guys. They had started by using duct tape on each other. But eventually they learned some good knots in cub scouts and had upgraded to ropes and bandanas. Now, at 10 years old, they'd become adept at tying various knots.
"I'm gonna beat you!" Ryan gloated as he raced his virtual car along the track.
"Yeah right!" Joey retorted, hitting a turbocharge button. This pushed him ahead and gave him the win.
"Ha! That's 2!" Joey cheered.
"Fine. Let's make it best of 7." Ryan said.
"Deal." Joey said.
As you may have guessed, they were playing to see who would be the "kidnapper" in tonight's game. And to spare you all the details, they had to play the full 7 game series, which resulted in Joey winning 4.
After that, Mike Horton told the boys to get ready for bed. So they did. After brushing their teeth and washing their faces, the boys dressed for bed. They'd abandoned pajamas earlier that year, and now their sleepwear consisted of their Hanes boxer briefs. Joey wore blue ones, which was the blond boy's favorite color. Ryan, the brunet, had green ones. They waited a while, and then, the game was on.
Ryan left the room to get some water. Joey turned out the lights and hid in the closet, where he grabbed some ropes from Ryan's stash. He tied a knot in the middle of a bandana while he was waiting. The room was lit only by the desk lamp. As soon as Ryan came back in, Joey jumped out and clamped his hand over his best friend's mouth.
"Gotcha, boy!" Joey growled in his Bad-Guy voice.
Ryan giggled into his hand and surrendered immediately, as per the game rules. Joey guided him to the desk chair and picked up the ropes. He pulled Ryan's hands behind him and tied them snug, crossed at the wrists. Then he sat his friend down and took the white bandana and pulled the knot behind Ryan's teeth, tying the gag securely. He then knelt down and tied his friend's bare feet, crossed at the ankles. The knots he used would hold, but could be untied quickly in a pinch. Finally, Joey took a long rope and began wrapping Ryan's upper body to the back of the chair.
"You're not going anywhere, boy!" Joey said in the Bad-Guy voice.
"Mmph mm." Ryan agreed, knowing that he was trapped. And not at all opposed to that fact.
Suddenly, the door opened. The boys jumped and looked as Ryan's father stepped into the room. He froze in the doorway, staring with ice blue eyes. Joey and Ryan both blushed, also frozen in place. This was a shock to everyone.
"What are you doing?" Mike Horton asked.
"Uhh... Well... It's... We're..." Joey stammered and dropped the end of the rope he was holding, which made the wrappings around Ryan's chest go slack.
"Untie him and come downstairs. Now." Mike ordered. Then he left.
The boys gulped and exchanged a worried look. Joey untied his friend, and the pair slowly made their way down to the living room where Mike was waiting. Ryan hadn't fully removed the gag. It just hung around his neck, the damp knot a testament to it's recent use.
Well, dear reader, the boys were totally humiliated. Mike had called Dave and had him on speaker as the boys recounted their games over the past 3 years. They swore they took turns and neither ever forced the other. And they begged to not be grounded. The talk lasted only a few minutes, but it felt like hours. Finally, Mike sent them to bed.
"Dude." Ryan said when they returned to his room. "We are so grounded."
"Don't remind me." Joey groaned, falling to the bed.
Ryan fell in beside him and the two just lay flat for a while, not speaking. Eventually they both fell asleep.
The next morning, they boys ate breakfast with Mike, who didn't seem angry. They played a few games and waited. But no punishment ever came. Eventually, Joey's dad Dave came to pick him up. And then they addressed the elephant in the room.
"Okay." Dave said. "There's a new rule for your tie up games. You have to tell one of us, and we have to supervise."
"You can play, but we need you guys to stay safe. Anything can go wrong." Mike added.
Joey and Ryan could barely believe their ears. Their dads just allowed them to play kidnap? Awesome! They agreed immediately. And then it was time for Joey to go home.
What the boys did not know, is that after the talking to the previous night, Mike and Dave had continued their phone call.
"So, our boys like TUGs." Mike said.
"It seems that way." Dave agreed. "I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
Mike laughed. "No, it does not. So, if they're anything like us at that age, they'd probably love a good kidnapping."
"Probably." Dave said. "Maybe we can do that when my wife and daughter are away next weekend."
"Great idea!" Mike said. "And maybe we can dust off the toys we had back in the day."
Dave chuckled. "Sounds like a plan. I'll see you tomorrow."
