hi guys. New user here, so I apologize if this topic has already discussed to death.
Just wondering if this forum would be easier to navigate if there were more categories. I don't think there are a lot who want to view both men and women tied up, so why not separate them into different categories. Maybe a third category for both.
Of course, still separate them into everybody can view vs. adult only.
I realize that this can go too far-- categorization by type of bondage (rope, tape, zip tie, handcuffs), gag vs. no gag, etc. I also realize the migration is still in progress, so maybe think of this as a long term goal.
What do people think?

I don't think this would be realizable, simply from a practical point.
A story either has mature content or does not. It's a simple either-or situation.
How would you categorize a story that has a man and a woman taking turns tying each other by gender? Or one that has a guy tying up people from different genders? Even if we had four separate forums for M/M, F/F, M/F, and F/M stories, there would still be too much gray area and overlap.

You're probably right, but the way i see it, the M/M and F/M would be in the same category. There would be a 3rd category for ?/MF
I suggest that the mature content yes/no is more complex than that. A lot of us grew up Bugs Bunny cartoons which are incredibly violent. I am totally confused by the standards for profanity these days. Does one use of the f-word make it mature? {interesting aside, a movie is allowed one use of the f-word and still be considered pg-13] What about language that is offensive but not traditionally considered profanity, like the r slur, which was once considered a medical condition.
Please note that last paragraph is just for discussion and not really part of the suggestion. It reflects my personal confusion on the topic. Given that, we should err on the side of caution, so one f-bomb does make it mature.

Evening
@big-gunth and welcome to the board.
To be honest I think you've answered your own question/suggestion.

Where do you stop, draw the line? We currently have the tagging system, which I personally feel works perfectly. Tagging stories, and in some cases other items on site (art, photos) is a form of categorising, allowing visitors/members to check out/click only on the specific gender line up they wish to read or view.
Can't speak for the other mods, but I can't see the current categories being altered or expanded.

It's also not feasible for the mods and admins on the site since we are volunteers and not paid to monitor the site. This would take up too much of our time to organize the stories that are already on the site if we did this. We have discussed this in the past and that's why we have the tagging system currently in place.
