Alright, this happened back in 6th grade when I was like 11 years old.
I was working on an art project with a friend, let‘s call her Hannah (not her real name). I visited her at her home to work on the project, but to be honest we were more talking than working. Then, we somehow (I seriously don’t remember how) entered the subject of being kidnapped and tied up. And my friend said she was sure that she could get out of any bonds. I agreed and she said if I‘m that sure, why not test it. I agreed and so she prepared some stuff. A few scarves and belts.
She then tied my ankles with a scarves and tied my hands in front of me with a belt. She tied my arms to my torso using another belt and also tied up my upper thighs with another scarf.
Then, I tried to get out and embarrassingly, I couldn’t get out. When I told her that, she freed me. But my competitive will was lightened and I told her that if I tied her up, she also couldn’t escape. She agreed and I tied her up.
Long story short, I tied her up even worse than she had tied me up before. At that time, I had no idea that tying for example the scarf between the hands too would make it harder to escape. Hannah quickly freed herself and declared herself the winner of this little competition.
What both of us didn’t know at that time: This was just a beginning of a journey of our tie up games.
