Just had my mouth taped shut with gorilla tape versus duct tape! I will say it got me in a much stickier situation! Just one strip shut me up for a while! Anyone else like gorilla tape?

I've tried it before and have mixed feelings. It's sturdier than duct tape and I like that. But I don't like the smell or taste of the glue. But that's just me. Glad you had a good time!

I'd be terrified to try that myself. Gorilla stuff is supposed to be extra strong. I'm afraid of just how much it'd hurt to remove it or I could remove it myself after a certain amount of time.

It sure is strong! It's didn't hurt to remove anymore than duct tape which was nice. But yeah I'm sure it's not very good for the skin.

Only once and my lips are still attached to that single strip!

I suspect a lot of the people who think Gorilla tape is so much stickier than duct tape or that it will tear your mouth off when peeled have little to no experience with actual/real duct tape (aka industrial/construction grade duct tape).

Most of the bondage kinksters I know IRL have a roll of duct tape on hand, and they are always surprised when I pull mine out. Seems a lot of enthusiasts are going for the cheapest/all-purpose/dollar store type duct tapes. I realise industrial-grade duct tape is substantially pricier than the average role of duct tape look-alike, but the old adage applies. You get what you pay for. Spend little, get garbage.


I use both tapes almost daily in my line of work and have used Gorilla tape during bondage play as well. It's much better suited for restraining than it is for gagging. Industrial quality duct tape is almost every bit as sticky, and more importantly, it is thin enough to properly mould different shapes (in this case, a person's lower face). Gorilla tape is twice as thick. This makes it ideal for restraining, but not nearly as effective when it comes to gagging and conforming to a person's face.

Never had any issue peeling it off anyone's mouth. Hair is actually the biggest factor. If you plan on using Gorilla tape and/or industrial duct tape on a guy, it's best to make sure his beard is trimmed short and neck hairs (front and back) are properly shaved off.

I’ve been gagged with 2-3 strips with double wide gorilla tape before. It definitely kept me silent haha

Never used Gorilla Tape but would be interested to try it out sometime. As well as wrapping it around my legs also. The only downside being is its not renewable.

I can’t remember ever being gagged with Gorilla tape or any other type/brand of duct tape. Wouldn’t necessarily mind, though! Does it leave any sticky residue? I’d hate to be spending a while afterwards trying to peel bits of glue from my face.

Nope! No residue or notable stickiness! I had it on for about 15 minutes and it was STUCK on! Just make sure to keep the roll out of heat and keep it in a cool dry place to prevent it from getting melty or sticky and degrading

Yeah I've tried gorilla tape and t rex tape before. For me the smell kind of turns me on lol. I think I was still able to get it off with just a single strip, but they are much stickier and stronger than other duct tape.

Kind of wanna order some more now so I can try them again lol

I love duct tape, even if it does hurt coming off lol. I normally wear a thin beanie hat and pull it down over all my hair, then I don't have to worry about losing hair when peeling the tape off. Can safely wrap it around my entire head for a proper effective tape gag

Very smart with the hat trick. I like the pain of the tape being ripped off of my mouth when done with the scene. It's a punishment in itself

What we do is usually place a strip of gorilla tape over my mouth and then wrap my head in duct tape. The gorilla tape is strongest and holds super well, but it’s the duct tape that molds most tightly around my head.

Thanks I also kind of like it heheh. It's not too bad on my mouth tbh. Just when I use it to restrain my wrists or ankles I often regret it after lol, pulls my hairs out.

Good idea!! Saves money on the gorilla tape too

I duct taped my own lips once. I was able lick it off pretty easily without using my hands. There was a mention of industrial tape. What brand is that? I’d like a tape that I can’t lick off.

According to someone else in this thread, t Rex tape is really good. I haven't tried it yet so we will see.
