A Love Letter To Tugs (M/m?)

The following story is fiction, but the thoughts shared are real.
------
It's an ordinary evening in an ordinary room. An ordinary man sits on a couch, staring at a laptop screen absent mindedly while the tv plays in the backround. A boy walks in the room and sits down beside him.
"Whatcha doin'?" He asks.
The man shrugs. "Nothing. Trying to figure out what to post on TUGs."
The kid gives a knowing nod. "But all the crap of this week gave you writer's block."
The man gives a thin, sad smile. "You know me too well."
"Tie me up." The kid says. "Right now. Tie me up."
"Buddy, I don't know how that will help." The man says.
"Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But you need it. Besides, you can post about it!"
The man chuckles, then picks up a roll of duct tape that is always handy. "You win. Turn around."
The kid spins around and puts his hands behind his back, and the man begins taping them there. "Maybe you're right. Maybe we did need this."
The kid looks up with a knowing smile. "We DEFINITELY needed it. And besides, this is what the people love."
The man smiles and tears the tape. "True. But they love a lot of stuff. I mean, our community has a wide variety of tastes after all."
The kid's smile gets warmer as he sits down. "Yeah. The TUGs community is awesome."
The man kneels and peels the boy's socks off, then begins taping his ankles together. "Yeah. Like a big town in cyberspace."
"Exactly." The kid says. "An awesome town. Where we can just be who we are and not have to hide it."
"One where we're always welcome." The man smiles wistfully. "Remember how we were welcomed all those years ago?"
"How can I forget?" The kid says, sharing the smile. "It was like... Coming home."
The man gently presses the tape around the kid's ankles and moves up to his knees. "Exactly. I'll never understand how all these people came to feel like family."
Nodding, the kid says "I don't know, but you're right. All that time away was like being separated from loved ones." He gets choked up here.
The man coughs, swallowing the lump in his own throat. "That's so true. All the moving around. All the stuff we've been through, and THIS place has been a constant."
The kid smiles. "Yeah. TUGs has been a big part of our life, hasn't it?"
"All of it." The man says, nodding. "Ever since I can remember, I've loved these games. And when I found the tieupgames forum in high school, it became my favorite website." He tears the tape off at the kid's knees.
"I wish it was a real town." The kid says. "We could live there forever."
"Me too buddy. Me too." The man sits down and puts his arm around the kid.
"The kid smirks. "You're forgetting my gag."
"Nope. I left it off deliberately." The man says. "I mean, we ARE only two parts of the same person. So this whole thing is really self bondage."
"Oh. Yeah." The kid giggles. "So, do you think they'll like our imaginary scene?"
"Maybe they will, maybe they won't. But it needed to be said, since I love this community so much."
"And they deserve to see our little love-letter to them on the most active part of the forum." The kid says.
Then both turn to the fourth wall with big smiles.
"Love you, Tugstories! Thank you for being the best community anyone could ever ask for. For all the great stories, all the roleplays, and all the support. You've been here through all the good times and the bad!"
With that, the scene blurs, revealing that the pair on the couch are really the same guy. The author, in a self bondage scene.
---------------
In all seriousness, this is a great forum and I really do love you all. Sorry that this isn't up to my usual standards, I just wanted to get this off my chest, and didn't want to wait for my mental and physical health to cooperate. Love you all!
