What rope do you people like best?

This is for rope only, so please don't choose "other" and then say you only like tape, leather or handcuffs.

This is a tough one! My first TUGs kit had polyester and something that I think was jute. BUT... Cotton is accessible and Nylon is easiest to work with. Therefore, nylon wins in my book. HOWEVER, yellow poly camp ropes take a close second, just because of the nostalgia factor.

Cotton will always be my rope of choice. But I do occasionally use a rougher hemp rope. To be honest if I am being tied I don't care what the rope is made of.

Interesting to see most people prefer cotton rope! Totally understandable, cotton is so soft and pleasant to the touch. I always thought cotton is too stretchy, which makes it not 100% escape-proof, but I was wrong: There are soft, but tight cotton shibari ropes with a braided core. This combines the advantages of cotton and hemp!

I use nylon rope, easy to use and is comfy.

Cotton I love how it feels.

As Apu from The Simpsons once said: "Ooh, they used nylon rope this time. It feels so smooth against my skin. Almost sensuous."
