Stories of Tie Up Games

If you were transported back in it to be tied up,or locked in chains where / when would it be. Please explain what appeals in the comments.

I can't properly explain why I like Ancient Egypt the best. It probably has to do with the scantily clad women and the fact that it was acceptable to be bound. Add that there were always several hidden places to be left. It sounds wonderful!

Medieval Britain for me...late 12th/early 13th century...Robin Hood, his Merry Men, the Sheriff of Nottingham and his minions...bondage peril ensues for all!

While the title of the thread and the title of the actual poll imply two different things and don't match, I voted for Viking era.
I always had a sweet spot for Norse mythology and societal structure.

Even started writing a historical fiction bondage/bdsm-themed story in this era: CAPTURED BY VIKINGS: MEMOIRS OF A PRISONER (M/M)

Never actually thought about it. I think any setting from the 40s-50s to the present day make a great bondage setting. I voted for ancient Greece (I'm also Greek ). Men were bearded (unlike romans) and took care of their bodies, exercising naked in palestrai. Plus, there's that scene in Homer's Odyssey where Odysseus gets tied to his ship's mast, struggling to get free, begging his fellow sailors to untie him .

Several of these could make for good scenarios. Wild West is a good one. Cowboys/girls with ropes, tied up by outlaws in a robbery, being a criminal captured by a bounty hunter. Not listed, but the golden age of piracy is another one that inspires bondage thoughts.

But the one I went with was medieval times. Capture and ransom was even a recognized part of life for the upper classes. Captured, bound and gagged and taken off to be locked up and held for ransom, maybe getting chained up after trying to escape...

I went with Ancient Egypt! Being surrounded by shirtless men covered in sweat. I also love mummification so being wrapped like that would be fun.

Medeival or Victorian era England I think. The big dresses and gowns and being a true "Damsel in Distress"? yes please

Not setting as much as bondage devices. I like stocks and those chain for each hand that are connected to a wall.

Seven months ago, I voted 20th century cold war, imagining myself as some type of James Bond figure, captured by a sexy female Russian spy, sweet on revenge for me having assassinated her ... wait, that's part of the plot of an actual Bond movie...

From the period just before the Victorian era till its end (1811 to 1901 England) would have been my second choice. Men wearing corsets was not uncommon, not to mention all the underground brothels that supposedly specialized in caning and whipping. Theresa Berkley would have been someone I would have visited often, if I could have afforded it as an English nobleman.

However, I'd like to add what seems to me has become a new "historic bondage setting": 2001 to pre-covid 21st century. Things seemed so much simpler back then...

The Wild West, hands down! Imagine all those cowboys and outlaws in their boots and hats and all that bad boy charm. And then one of them just goes and lassoes you up without an explanation! And before you know it, you have your wrists bound with hemp ropes behind your back and a bandana stuffed in your mouth while you pretend to struggle on your captor's shoulder. Love that!
