The Dory Family. Hide and Seek (m/M)

The Dory household consisted of three members. Alicia Dory, a thirty-five year old single mother, her son, Billy, age eight, and her sixy year old father Alan. The elderly patriarch was a retired machinist who had moved in with his daughter and grandson after his wife passed away two years before. Alan lived a fairly simple and quiet life, helping out around the house, watching baseball on TV and babysitting his grandson. The house was decently sized. Three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, a half bathroom downstairs and a master bathroom upstairs. Alan's room was located down the hall from Billy's room, a mere two doors down from the master bedroom, which was a nice bit of privacy for the elder Dory. Life was good for the trio.
It was a rainy day in September, and Billy had just returned home from his second week of school. Alicia was working the evening shift at the call center where she worked, leaving Alan to look after the boy. The older man was in the kitchen, putting dishes away. Alan was wearing a gray shirt with faded blue jeans and white socks, his typical attire for a quiet day at home. Billy was upstairs changing into some dry clothes. Alan was listening to the rain pounding down onto the roof, enjoying the soothing sound as he worked. He was about to put the last plate away when he heard footsteps behind him. "Hey kiddo, how was you day?" He asked, without turning around.
"Okay I guess." Billy said flatly. He had just changed into a pair of green pants and a black shirt and barefoot, as he preferred to be. Billy had short blonde hair and light blue eyes. His face was rather chubby, with a pudgy little nose and small ears. Billy headed towards the TV in the living room, and began flipping through the channels, searching for something good to watch.
"Nothing good on?" Alan asked, as he shut the cabinet door.
"No." Billy sighed. He settled for a show about lions that was airing on Animal Planet. "I hate this weather. I wish it would stop raining so I could go outside."
Alan chuckled. "I see. Kiddo is bored and antsy because he can't run around and play in the rain."
"Well, yeah." Billy agreed. "I'm sick of being inside. Can we play a game or something?"
"Well, what did you have in mind?" Alan asked, walking into the living room and taking a seat next to Billy.
Billy thought for a moment. "We could play hide and seek."
"Hide and seek, huh? Sounds fun. We played that when I was a kid except our game had a little twist." Alan said with a grin.
"A twist?"the kid inquired
"Yes, when the seeker found the hider, the hider would be tied up and gagged. Then the hider had to escape to become the seeker. Pretty cool, right?" The older man explained.
"Wicked!" Billy said, eyes wide."Well, let's go find some stuff to use." Alan said as he stood up and motioned for Billy to follow him. They went down to the basement and started digging through boxes. Alan pulled out a bunch of with cotton rope. It was old but still serviceable. Also they found a few bandanas.
"Can I be seeker first, Grandpa?" Billy asked as the returned upstairs.
"Sure." Alan replied, placing the stuff on the kitchen table. "Go ahead and count to a hundred. No peeking. I'll go hide."
Billy nodded and began counting, shutting his eyes tight as he did. The youngster loved the excitement and suspense of a good game. Alan decided to hide behind the couch. He made sure the older piece of furniture was between him and Billy, then crouched down and waited. After a minute or so, Billy shouted out "Ready or not, here I come!" and began to search for his grandfather. The boy was pretty smart, and began checking all the obvious places first. But he failed to check the couch. It wasn't until his third sweep of the room that the boy realized that Alan could have hidden behind the couch, and walked over and peered over the edge. Sure enough, there was his grandpa, hiding in plain sight.
"Got you, Grandpa!" Billy shouted. "Now you're mine!"
Alan laughed and surrendered, holding his arms up. "Alright, alright. You caught me."
"Yeah, and now I'm going to tie you up and gag you!" The boy announced.Alan couldn't help but smile at the sight. His grandson, barely four foot tall, was standing over him, trying to sound tough. Alan could tell that the boy was a little nervous, but the fact that he was trying to act tough, as if tying up his grandfather was no big deal, was adorable.
"Alright, kiddo." The older man said, sitting in the middle of the living room floor. "Where do you want me to put my hands?"
Billy thought for a moment, his lips pursed together as he pondered his options. "I wanna tie your hands behind your back."
"Okay." Alan said, as he placed his arms behind his back.
Billy knelt down and picked up a length of rope and proceeded to try to tie his grandfather's hands. Alan could see the boy struggling, and gave him a little advice. "Okay, you have the rope in a loop. Good. Now wrap it around my wrists a couple times, then make another loop and pull it tight."
Billy did as his grandfather instructed. It took a few minutes, and the knots weren't exactly the best, but it would do. "There, got it!" Billy said, clearly pleased with his accomplishment. The ropes were tight, but not too tight. It was a bit uncomfortable, but Alan could tell that it wouldn't cut off his circulation.
"Good job, kiddo!" Alan praised the boy. "You've got some skill there. You'll be tying me up in no time."
Billy beamed at his grandfather's compliment. The boy picked up another piece of rope and walked around to face the older man. He looked up and down his grandpa's body, as if searching for the perfect spot to begin. His eyes landed on his grandfather's socked feet. "I wanna tie your legs now." He announced, dropping down and grabbing Alan's ankles. He repeated the same procedure he had used for his grandfather's wrists, and ended up with two fairly good knots. Billy then picked up one of the bandanas.
"Okay, open your mouth." The boy said, unfolding the piece of cloth.
Alan obliged and opened his mouth, allowing his grandson to stuff the bandana into his mouth and pull it between his lips. The cloth was thick, and felt rough against his tongue. "Mmmmffff." The older man moaned as the boy tied the bandana tightly behind his head. Alan knew there was no way he was going to get the cloth out, it was on too tight. He was thoroughly gagged, and completely at the mercy of his grandson.
Billy took a step back to admire his handiwork. "That's so cool!" He said, smiling ear to ear. He was so excited that he could hardly contain himself. Alan's blue eyes met Billy's, and he winked at the boy, telling him without words that it was okay.
"You look so helpless!" Billy said, laughing. The white haired grandfather began his escape attempt, wiggling his wrists and ankles. He could feel the ropes sliding up and down, rubbing against his skin, but no matter how much he tried, the knots remaiund firmly tied. The gag was tight as well, and he doubted that any amount of biting or chewing would loosen it. He was stuck.
Billy just watched, fascinated as his bound and gagged grandfather struggled. A minute or so passed, and Alan layedon his side and bent his ankles to his reaching fingers. It took some doing, but Alan finally managed to untie his ankles. He pushed the ropes away with his feet and stood up.
"You untied your feet!" Billy exclaimed.
"Mmaa mmm Pfffttt" Alan agreed as he slipped his bound wrist under his feet and bringing them to the front of his body. Finally the elder Dory pulled the gag out of his mouth and tossed it onto the couch.
"Awesome! You are good at escaping!" The youngster said, impressed by his grandfather's skills.
"Thanks kiddo. You did a good job tying me up. I couldn't believe how tight those knots were." Alan said, giving his grandson a pat on the shoulder.
Billy blushed, his pale cheeks turning red. "Really? That's great!"
"My turn to be seeker now." Alan said. "Go hide, and I'll start counting."
"Okay." Billy said as he ran off to find the perfect hiding place.
"1...2...3..." Alan counted, waiting for his grandson to be completely hidden before opening his eyes........
