Family fishing ( MMm/m ); Aug, 1st

Hello guys! I've came with an idea to write a short, one-chapter story that consists of dialogues only. Let me know in the comments what you think about it! If you like it, I'll try to write more stories like this one . So, here we go!

“Dad, I’m bored!”

“Already?! We’ve been here barely for twenty minutes! And we still have at least several hours ahead of us.”

“Plus, it was your idea to come with us, little bro…”

“I know that, but you always kept going on about how fishing with Dad and uncle Bob is great… You said that it’s a lot of fun and I can’t see any!”

“Because it really is fun, Derek! Don’t you get it?! No duties, responsibilities, no one tells you to clean your room, put your socks into the hamper, no homework waiting for you… just relaxation and chill out on the lakeside, man…”

“But we’re doing completely nothing here! We’re only sitting on blankets and keep staring at our fishing rods, floats and the water surface…”

“That’s what going fishing is all about though… Your father and brother must have told you that!”

“Yeah, they did…”

“See? Since you knew well what you were putting yourself into, you have only yourself to blame for coming with us. You are already fourteen, so you are old enough to take responsibilities for your actions… at least most of them.”

“Exactly, no one forced you to come!”

“All right, all right… I’ll try my best…”

“So glad to hear this, son!”

“How much longer are we going to stay here, Dad?”

“Derek, you’ve asked this question like three times already! Can’t you just shut up? If you don’t like fishing and can’t enjoy it, at least don’t heckle the others!”

“Andrew is right, you are scaring away the fish! I’ll become a laughing stock at the Police Station when I tell the guys that I caught nothing because of my nephew…”

“Don’t blame me for this, uncle! It’s not my fault you can’t catch anything!”

“Son, I’m losing my patience…”

“I never should of agreed to come here… It’s such a lame way to spend the time…”

“All right, I’ve had enough! Bob, get his legs! Mike, go to the car and get the ropes and duct tape from the trunk!”

“What?! Dad, let me go!”

“No fucking way, Derek! We’ve given you many chances to shut your mouth and quit disturbing us, but you didn’t take that opportunity. If you can’t behave on your own accord, I’m going to make you do so!”

“No way! Dad, what aremmmpppphhh!!”

“Yeah, keep the kid quiet, bro!”

“Mmmmhhh!!”

“I’m back, Dad! I brought all the ropes I could find… And there were two rolls of duct tape in the trunk, so I took both of them.”

“Good! Switch with me Mike and keep your brother’s mouth shut! Meanwhile Bob and I will take care of him.”

“You’re really going to tie him up?!”

“Absolutely! If that’s the only way to stop him from yapping and walking around, then so be it!”

“Mmmhh… Guys, no! Waimmmppphhh!!”

“Sorry, little bro, but Dad is right! And, as uncle Bob said, you are old enough to pay the price for your deeds…”

“Let’s get him on his stomach, Bob! I’ll force his arms behind his back and you tie them up! Don’t go easy on him, man! Make the bonds tight and inescapable!”

“You don’t need to tell me how to restrain a man, bro! I’m a cop, remember?”

“Mmmhhhh!!”

“Shut up!”

“All right, wrist are done, let’s move on to the elbows! Pass me that long piece of rope, Mike!”

“Wow, you’re not giving him any chance, uncle…”

“That’s the point, Mike! Whatever you do, do it properly.”

“Ok, since both of you are taking good care of his arms, I’ll deal with his legs.”

“I suggest you tie his ankles, calves and thighs together, man. The less freedom he has, the better!”

“I know, Bob.”

“Mmmmpphhhh…”

“What now Dad? He’s bound tightly as hell, he won’t be able to escape!”

“That’s true, Mike, but Derek needs to understand that pissing me off comes with the price!”

“Bro, are you really going to…?”

“You bet your fucking ass I am! Now, give me that coil!”

“Fuck, you are so screwed, Derek!”

“Bob, keep his legs bent and pressed against his butt while I apply the hogtie.”

“Mmmmpphhh!”

“Too late for apologies, son!”

“All right, now for the last part…”

“Are you really going to gag him, Dad?!”

“Of course! Unless you want to keep him quiet with your hand for the next several hours?”

“Definitely not!”

“Exactly! Bob, get the tape ready!”

“We need something to stuff his yap first, bro.”

“I know, my sock will do the trick.”

“Mmmmhhhh!!”

“Open wide, son!”

“Mmhh, Dammmphh!”

“All in… tape his mouth shut, bro! At least five wraps, make them tight as hell!”

“Sorry, nephew, but you brought this upon yourself!”

“Mmmmhhh…”

“Finally we can focus on fishing!”

“Man, that was a great day! And the catch isn’t bad either.”

“Agreed. And what do you say, son? You enjoyed being hogtied for nearly five hours?”

“Mmmmhhhh…”

“Are you going to release him now, Dad? Or maybe we can put him in the trunk and take him home like that?”

“Tempting idea, Mike. But I guess the brat has had enough for one day.”

“Are you going to behave now, nephew? If you don’t, we might carry out your brother’s idea…”

“Mmmmhhh…”

“Just as I thought…”

“Dad, your socks reek so bad! You ever change them?!”

“Rarely. Why?”

“Nothing…”

“All right, I guess we can go back! You guys had fun?”

“Of course! But I really doubt my nephew will want to go fishing with us again…”

“Never in my life…”

Interesting story, with a different dynamic. Since it's just dialogues, our imagination can work to fill in what wasn't said or shown. I really liked it!

Well,in terms of the premise, they maybe enjoy fishing, but they'll be in serious trouble after that, trip especially the so called cop uncle! heh heh, but overall it is an interesting concept for telling a short Tug story.

Never actually thought about his age, but I guess we can make him like 14, 15... At this age kids are usually behaving exactl like Derek

As an avid angler myself, I really must say, this style of "fishing" is boring AF. I can definitely understand Derek's boredom. Not the type of fishing I like to do either. Poor kid though. Should've kept his mouth shut and just found something else to keep himself entertained with. Now he'll be bored AND quiet. Serves him right

Great story! I enjoyed the dialog only interaction among the characters. Poor Derek, dad and uncle were serious with that hog tie and gag!
