In a kidnap scenario- would you bound them first or gag them?
How important is the gag to you if you were kidnapping or being kidnapped?

It's not bondage without a good tight gag - same with kidnap scenarios

Totally agree plus you can't have your victim screaming for help.

What kind of tight gag did you have in mind?

Agreed that bondage just isn’t bondage without a gag. Gags are a must.
As for a kidnap scenario and the order of operations, when first grabbing the victim I guess you would gag them first with a hand gag. Then once you’ve explained the danger they’re in, you bind their hands. If you can place a strip of tape in your hand to slap on their lips during the hand gagging process, all the better to encourage quiet while you’re tying their hands. Once hands are tied a more thorough gag is now necessary, with mouth stuffing and what not.

Sounds like a great start to me

They are a critical part of the experience.
There may be periods where you are ungagged so that you can engage in some banter…
…but at some point, a gag is a must-have.

Gag its the final touch of the scenery. A damsel, after be tied up, captured and barefoot mus be gagged. Tight like ropes. For a perfect roleplay

It adds to the helplessness of the person being kidnapped - I agree.
A little bit of resistance to the gag going on I feel is a must too

Yes. Resistance to become the roleplay magic.
As villain, i love if a damsel try to resist to her capture.
At the some time a damsel love to resist. But she know and love to be overhelmed and tied up after her futile resistance.
Its the Magic of TUGS.
Sorry for my imperfect english language.

Yes I like the idea of removing every so often to replace it again - almost as a tease

Completely agree here.
A gag is essential but removing and reapplying is always fun.
I love stories were a kidnapper says they will gag the hostage.
Then advises that if they are good, then the gag will get removed. But it’s always necessary when leaving a captive alone

If they get too bratty they will need to be silenced.
You need to show them who is boss

Kidnap victims should be seen and not heard.

I think even if the victim is far away in the woods where nobody can hear them, they should still be gagged.

It's not a proper kidnapping if the victim isn't gagged.

The gag is incredibly important. If you wanted to kidnap me, my greatest weapon against you is my voice.
I can shout out for help, and as long as someone is nearby I'm probably likely to get help! In a kidnap scenario, I'd want someone to start with a gag so no matter how much I try to cry out, nobody could hear me. Then I'd be at the mercy of my captor...

I couldn’t agree more with this — talking is a privilege that ‘victims’ should NEVER have.

In table top, gags are a must for sorcerers and other magic users. In the real world people use their voices to effect "spells" of a kind, only a gag can be relied up to stop the spell casting!
