Stories of Tie Up Games

Hey everyone. I've been a lurker here on the site for quite some time and decided to finally break my silence and contribute to the community. Please bear with me as my writing capabilites aren't up to par with some of the talented folks here already. This story will be a little different than others I've seen posted as it will be written by two people, myself and a friend [mention]EdNygma[/mention] who will hop in and continue, both written from different perspectives. Prologue:
Over the course of 10 years a number of bizarre disappearances have occurred in a small countryside town in Southern Georgia. 6 people have disappeared with almost no trace of them to ever be found again. The only similarity that links all of these alleged kidnappings is a small folded up paper found at every missing person's last known whereabouts. Each note found contained a number. '1' '2' '3' and so on. The latest incident happened only two weeks prior near a campsite along the bank of the river on the outskirts of town. Similar to the other incidents, a note was found containing the number '6.' Investigators concluded these acts were pulled by one person, and local newspaper had kept this developing story fresh in everyone's minds for days following the latest report. The majority of the town speculated about who could be pulling these kidnappings. Some believed it was a former government official, who had been fired in years past, seeking his revenge for being ousted. Others thought it may be a a catel group, taking those out of the picture that may have interfered with their operation. Whatever the reason was behind these egregious acts, the town was frightened.

Now some people are content to just whisper, speculate and spread gossip. Not me. I'm Ryan Redline, cops and courts reporter for the Killspike Daily Crier here in Killspike, Ga., and I'm here to get the real story. I deal in hard facts that I can back up -- documents, photos, on-the-record interviews with eyewitnesses.

Just one problem: There were none.

Nobody reported seeing a thing. The cops were stumped. Even the police chief and sheriff, who both hate my guts, admitted as much: This was way out of their league. They called in a specialist, Gilbert Gebund, a retired FBI agent with more than 30 years' experience working high-profile kidnappings around the country. But when I cornered him on his way to the port-a-potty outside the police command center, he wasn't too talkative.

Mmm veey intrested to see where this is going ? Be nice to know what the missing persons are so far ?

College brats etc

Gilbert Gebund, whom everyone at his former job called 'Gil,' made his way outside of the command center towards the port-a-potty. He needed 5 minutes to gather his thoughts. Everyone inside the command center seemed to all turn to him when they needed an answer to a question since bringing him into this investigation that seemed to drag on for years. They called upon his talents because they were left at a dead end.

Throughout the last 10 years, students who attended the local university began to disappear, never to be seen or heard from again. It wasn't until the most recent incident that occurred that threw everything the investigation team out the window. A local high school teacher, known as Mr. Barry, had disappeared from a local bar. Mr. Barry was well-liked by his students, both former and current. Parents of his students also bragged about him teaching their children. Outside of his job, was always one to go an extra step to help the community. He made big donations to local charities, attended several city council meetings to provide helpful ideas, and even raised money to feed hungry families during the holidays. When he disappeared, the entire city was devastated. Another note, like the others in previous incidents, was found atop Mr. Barry's car. '6,' it read. Police were stumped, and local officials couldn't make sense of it.

At a little over 6 ft tall with a solid build, people felt somewhat intimidated by former agent Gebund. All except for that annoying reporter for the Crier. That guy never seems to know when to back off. The entire department couldn't stand this guy. Always had a nack for heckling everyone for the smallest bit of useless information, and he never gave up.

Rounding the corner of the building to the Port-a-potty, Gil was stopped by none other than said reporter, with his notepad already opened in his hand and a pen in the other. "Was this guy waiting for me in the bushes?" Gil thought to himself. "Look, I don't have time right now to do an interview," he told the reporter, "and quite frankly nows not the time to say anything that could compromise such a sensitive investigation. Now kindly get out of my way so I can take a leak."

This is indeed different from how most stories are produced here. I can recall stories with different prospects written from the same author, sometimes with help from others, but I can't recall it being done this way.

I am interested to see how you guys make this work with 2 different writers via the different prospectives and where you will be going with the story!!
