A fantastic ending to this story! I got to say, I want not expecting that ending but I can’t say it wasn’t better than I what I imagined. Sammy ending with Chad makes sense and I love the relationship the two have. Fantastic ending, I can’t wait to see what else you have planned for these characters, after all, we now have three allegeable bachelors in need of pseudo consorts!

I completely understand why Sammy now prefers Chad to Hunter, knowing that it could have also gone Brody's way.

First, there's the issue of security: Sammy really had a rough time with Brody. He needed someone to truly protect him from this madman. Unless he submitted 100%, he couldn't continue with Brody—which is literally the equivalent of a 24-hour extreme sports session. Sammy wouldn't have been able to last. And the only one who truly offered him that protection was Chad. He was the most active, but above all, the most influential in every situation. Sammy quickly understood that in the end, everything depended on Chad.

Chad also scored points against Hunter precisely because of his involvement. Hunter, unfortunately, remained too passive, not present enough. So honestly, who would you choose? A guy who stays in the background while you're literally tortured by atomic stinky farts and socks that would wake the dead? Or a guy who's 100% involved, who sometimes gives you a break, and even better—a guy who enforces that break by sitting you on his lap, asserting his presence?

I myself have a huge crush on Hunter, who, in my opinion, is perfect. But he's still disappointing in this whole thing, to be honest. There are opportunities he's missed. Even in a similar situation, I might end up abandoning Hunter for Chad. I tend to prefer the soft side, but if I'm forced into the hard side, I'll always end up enjoying it more—after swallowing a big glob of pure, pure fear saliva, LOL.

Well, even at the end, you can see that Hunter is caring and could have made a great man for Sammy. But I think either he's not interested enough in Sammy, or he just doesn't see himself in that kind of relationship with a man.

(No matter what, I'm always available for Hunter if he wants me, LOL.)

This passage tells me that Hunter watched over Sammy passively. I admit that, of course. Ahhhh eh bien voilà. This is 100% a flawed translation issue. The excerpt you shared is not what I wrote. Your translation tool is adding words where none should be added. This seems insignificant, but in some cases (such as this one), it changes the meaning of a sentence completely.

This is the excerpt you shared:

Look at the original text. There is no "I" in what Hunter said. The original text reads: "He's under there." Hunter calmly assured me, stepping in behind my slightly narrower frame and motioning his head towards the large bed where our burly team captain slept. "We freed him just a few hours after going to bed last night. Chad took him in. Wanted to make sure the little guy stayed safe and out of trouble." he went on, speaking to me in a low tone so as not to wake up his roommate.

The absence of the I is critical to this sentence. Hunter is saying that Chad took Sam to bed because Chad wanted him safe and out of trouble.

Well, at least I know for sure

Bingo! I think this is something a lot of readers might tend to forget when reading my stories. Many, if not most of the characters are not necessarily interested in other guys, let alone romantic relationships with other guys. Some (eg: Kyle, Shawn, etc) may partake in one-sided sexual activities if it suits or benefits them, but they have no ulterior or romantic motives beyond that of self-gratification and the fulfilment of their own sexual needs. For others (eg: Brody), it may simply be a means of power exchange.

I will forego confirming anything, so as not to spoil a possible - and highly probable - sequel (should you guys still want one) but it may very well be that Hunter simply was never interested in Sammy, at least not in the way many of you were hoping for.

I should have known that Chad with his aloof demeanor and limited participation would swoop in and take over. I like that, that he seemed distant and let the others have their fun, and then just claimed Sammy

What a fascinating ending to a really engaging tale. This really was amazing to see from start to end; and it's so wonderful to see how you've grown as a writer through the near decade I've been following your stories. Looking back, the progress and interest of Chad was heavily referenced and Hunter was a red herring. I find Sammy's situation rather intriguing and I'm glad he has found himself so comfortably fallen into that role. It was so interesting to hear to that almost sort of bitterness underlying the writing of this final chapter from Mark. He seems like he, himself, has a lot of things to contend with mentally on the situation and this was far from a welcome, but not entirely unwelcome, change. As always, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you!

Great ending! Love that Sammy ended up getting a happy ending through such a long weekend.

Even after the weekend of intense bondage and hazing, Sammy is happy in the end. Least the bondage still happens when Brody or Hunter come pick him up. All and all, what a great story this was and quite the adventure for Sammy.

Aha! Called it before, love our guy ended up with our hunk captain, Chad. Looking forward to a sequel if there will be.

I can tell from the comments that many of you are either surprised by this turn of events or even a bit disappointed by the outcome of Sam's adventure. I sympathise with those of you who were hoping for a different resolution. Even though this was indeed the endgame I had originally planned, I'd like to point out that Sammy landing with Chad opens up a veritable plethora of interesting possibilities. To those of you who are interested, here are some of my thoughts about the closing scene:


* To those who were hoping our protagonist would wind up with Hunter: Draw satisfaction in the knowledge that Sammy and Hunter are now closer than ever, and seeing a lot of each other due to Hunter's close friendship with Chad. Hunter is regularly sent on runs to fetch Sammy, and, as elaborated in the closing chapter, he is very often close by - guarding and keeping a close eye on our or young protagonist. Their lives are now deeply intertwined. Add to that the fact that he and the captain are not only flatmates, but also share the same bedroom. The ensuing complications and/or possibilities are quite numerous.

* To those who were hoping Sammy would get chased down by Brody: Who is to say that he won't? Consider the fact that Sammy finds himself protected by Chad at the cost of basically being a pawn in their potentially volatile power games. Mark seemed certain that Brody was fully aware of the subtle power moves going on, and he also went on to point out how Brody had grown noticeably frustrated with the whole affair. Who is to say that Sammy's presence will not end up sparking virulent jealousy between the captain and the able-bodied linebacker? The possibilities are even more endless when you take into account the fact that Brody is Sammy's primary transporter - a normally enjoyable job made intentionally demeaning due to the fact that it serves to benefit only the captain and not himself.

* To those who were hoping Matt might make a move: Though he was never alluded to as being one of the main contenders, Mark provided us with clear hints about Matt's severe and very demanding predisposition towards Sammy. He did not go into great detail, but he seemed to imply that his stepbrother was basically working overtime to win the cocky stallion's acceptance and that Matt's expectations were incredibly taxing. The potential implications and outcomes of this uneasy relationship are plentiful.


In short, Hunter, Brody and Matt fans should not despair. On the contrary, Sammy's relationship with Chad opens up a whirlwind of interesting possibilities. It leaves room for jealousy, intrigue, drama and petty politics. All things that make for great storytelling.

I have a big question (in my opinion): what did the narrator mean by "using one of my own father's stink bombs"?

I know he's talking about his father's socks. I'm not that much of a jerk, but how powerful are they? How powerful? Compared to other famous people known for their own stink bombs, where should they be classified?

A bit of a stupid question, I know. We'll find out one day, maybe, but this is the kind of detail I like. Thinking that Sammy was tortured by his father-in-law's smelly socks excites me a little.

Ah, I know I deserved to try the bomb myself for asking that question, but nothing ventured, nothing gained . My imagination is very powerful, but I always like to prioritize the author's vision.

Surprised but not that surprised by the ending. Sammy seems to be content with the arrangement(s) atleast!

Of all the things that could have happened to Mark at Brody's hands, he didn't get the worse of possible outcomes. Though the new recruits, man I feel bad from them. Sounds like hell. Be such a shame if some how after all that, Brody ended up on the receiving end. Just saying

Well Mark was put through the wringer in my absence! Brody is certainly an imaginative captor. I particularly enjoyed the trick with the 'any last words' to get Mark to open up for the gag and it's always fun to see the gas mask coming out. Brody milking Mark for his own nefarious plans was also very hot - I'm trying to decide if I feel sorry for this year's new recruits!

Sammy's resolution is also very satisfying although he's definitely found himself in the middle of a potentially complex power web. I love the idea of Brody or Hunter coming to collect him and trussing him up for transportation - delivered on a platter for captain Chad's delectation. Plenty of scope for a sequel.

Seeing the resolution puts your earlier question in a different light. Initially I thought go with Brody but having seen the ending I think I'm going to say chase the power and go for Chad instead. It may be part of his power games but I think he's probably less possessive than Brody, at least in terms of letting others have a bit of fun with his prize as well.

How come "least likely Bypass"? I thought you liked Chad. You even chose him as your very first choice in your response to the BUNKER GAME a few short weeks ago. I'm curious. Have the last ten chapters or so changed your preferences as far as Chad and/or Brody?
