For me the best are panties worn by my wife or in few exceptional cases by the Mistress. Few times,I was gagged by my underwear, which was replaced on my body by a diaper. To secure the gag, usually the duct tape is used. And the best part of it is forcing me to open my mouth to get the gag in, this I really enjoy.

Oh she spends most days wearing old trainers with no socks, or walks round her garden barefoot.

A sponge for sure if the goal is intensity and effectiveness. Panties if the goal is humiliation and teasing.

My favorite type of sponge to use is definitely those caulking sponges you find at hardware stores. Extremely soft, very squishy, and massive! You can really compress it to stuff it in your mouth and then it expands to fill it completely.

My favorite tapes to use to seal it in are a big piece of tegaderm, wide microfoam wrapped around a few times, or a massive wrap gag using either pvc electrical tape or vinyl tape. They are both stretchy and really form fitting.

Yeah I like the idea of a jockstrap with plenty of ductape around. Or panties if it's a girl tying me up. I also am crazy about ball gags and have a little collection of them, as well as an actual rubber horse bit that I rigged up into a gag with an old belt. They don't do as much for silencing as a tape gag, but I love the humiliating feeling of just being forced to wear it and denied the ability to speak, as well as the humiliation that comes with uncontrollably drooling all over the place while wearing a ball or bit gag.

I've never bothered with them in my photosets, or otherwise in real life, and I only use them maybe 2% of the time in my stories & drawings. Maybe even less. On those rare occasions when I do use them, they tend to be magic or science-fiction-tech devices.

A large part of this is that I'm a tickle-phile, so I almost always want the captive to be able to laugh. Another large part is that I find many gag-associated elements to be icky and even squicky: Drool, big face-distorting gags, dirty or nasty things used as gags...

And for what it's worth, I don't get the general fascination with oral sex. (I'm weird. Sue me.)

Yeah I love that too! The first time a girlfriend tied me up for sex it was simple bondage. She just tied me to the bedposts with some clothesline rope, then shoved a pair of her panties in my mouth and used a pair of stalkings to hold them in. I could have melted when she did that. Of course it would have been easy enough to spit them out, but I was quite comfortable being gagged!

I find panties really muffle any sound too. My female friend who ties me always uses her worn panties. I love the humiliation of it and she says it is a real turn on seeing me struggling and unable to spit them out. She either uses duct tape or a large ball gag.
