I'm not sure if I have any slight preference to subbing or domming yet. It's hard to tell when I haven't participated in live bondage in some time. (had some tug experiences probably as early as 3rd/4th grade when I found out I liked the stuff but haven't explored it in person since then unfortunately)

I also don't know what triggers my state of mind of being dom or sub. I suspect it's quite mood dependent but external factors and pressures are definitely a big part of it. They feel like different aspects of my personality and I kinda bounce back and forth. I wonder when I find people to play with what I might discover. Will I want to only dom some and only sub with others? Is it as simple as a choice to tie or let myself be tied? No idea but I can't wait to find out.

Just realised - I haven’t posted here - I would say 90% Dom 10% switch - if my partner wants to tie me up, I’m happy to be bound but prefer the majority of time to do the tying.

A Dom is a person who is doing the active part in the bondage, he/she is the one doing the tying.

A Sub is doing the passive part, this person is the one getting tied up.

And a Switch is someone who switches between the dominant and submissive role, sometimes he/she is the Sub and sometimes the Dom.
