So Jarlaxle is a schemer, interesting. Planting the idea of claiming Elias in Sorn's head, I love it. I really hope he goes through with it. A little runt to blow of some steam during all this stress sounds like something Sorn needs

And so it begins. It's apparent how different humans and drow handle emotions. Elias actually formed some kind of one sided attachment to the guard and considered actually thanking him for just doing his job. No drow would probably even think about that.

Can't wait to see how it continues...

It's getting better with each chapter. The drow are really ruthless, I can't wait to see how Elias' journey will continue. I'm glad that Elias has encountered at least one kind soul so far. It could be the start of a friendship or even alliance, even though they can't openly show it. I'm once again floored by the layered world building, I love it!

There is a lot of potential for a sequel, but prolonging a story past it's intended length is almost never a good idea. We've seen it time and time again in TV shows. So it's understandable that it's coming to an end

Damn, well now Mark gets to experience what his stepbrother went and currently still goes through. Brody is really unrelenting, he's extremely immersed and takes action in subduing his victims. I still love Chad the most, but Brody is on the verge of passing him
