Great story, thanks for sharing! One thing I would add is in the paragraph when your hands got tied, I would specify that they were behind your back. Just to help the less attentive readers (ie me) visualize.

I usually like stories with fantastical elements, sci-fi not so much, but when it comes to this forum I am an insanely lazy reader. Where if I have to go through the slightest trouble to comprehend the world building, I just quit reading.

Of course! A sequel is always going to feel like a sequel.
The main difference is that when an author publishes a sequel, they're gonna make sure it's mentioned at the start, and usually have it published through their official channel rather than deviant art.
