Not really. I'm not someone who's often had a lot of interest in being tied up for hours and hours. Maybe for very specific types of stories or fantasies. But just being tied up does get boring after a while.

I've had surprisingly few considering how long I've been interested in bondage. Only one I remember with a lot of clarity. I was locked in a trunk and tied up with a girl from school (one of my earliest crushes). We escaped and were running through a parking garage trying to get away.

A good cleave gag looks better, but a bad cleave gag looks really bad. Duct tape usually looks reasonably good unless it is terribly applied or something like that.

I don't think there's a real limit if it's well written, but once you get more than 3 or 4 it does feel like most characters are in the background. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just means not everyone is going to get focus.

I read a fair bit of spy, detective, and crime fiction and it's fairly common for some to get tied up in those genres, but that's less playful bondage and more crime stuff, so I don't know if you're interested in knowing about those.
